Ditto! I have been psyched to get my Thrust+ on since this was announced. My Mindscape Powerplayer is a great stick, but a bit more precision (and some Valium
) and I'd love a shot at beating the game.BTW has anyone actually done this (played through Expert)? No spoilers, please

-
In the game, there is a cat in the window, a dog under the table, and then a third "ghost" animal, only visible because it obstructs the other graphics. Give it a play and you'll see what I mean. Is this any evidence that the NTSC is a hack / why would someone program a game with invisible graphics?
I'm using the CCart and AA rom, btw.

Y-cable similar to the one for the 5200? The pic makes it look hard-wired into the system. Does it only work on the CV?
Just looked at that ad again. It is not for a WICO stick, but some other company.
Overall, how rare is this? I'd likely have to buy the whole package in that photo to get it, and if these turn up fairly often on eBay for $6, as in the link below, I'll just wait.
Again thanks,
-
Not trying to hijack, but, given the above, is this item: http://www.myitem.com/viewimage.html?ctg=9...=541103793.jpeg also a colecovision controller, somehow rigged into an INTV?
I'm just trying to figure out how rare it is, and how well it works. Thanks in advance

Now who wants to part with the CV Multi from SK [PM me]...shhhhhhh

-
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...item=1386532873 Collecovision [sic] with 12 games for $41. Although it does look like some shill bidding may have pushed the auction up a bit, I think this is a good deal, but just got into the CV so dunno. Actually I wasn't into the system until I found this auction

Dukes of Hazzard on the way!

I'd imagine Albert/Alex's investment in this will ensure someone gets in touch with Tom eventually. If there's anything I can do to help, outside of sending a few more emails, just lmk, but I trust they've got a better way to get in touch.

Back to waiting...
-
Trust me boss I had that score well before deadline. Reread the original thread and look at the timestamps.
As for the communication, it is better than Junie's but come on: I know of at least one person on this board who has had his numbered copy for well over a month now.
...Not trying to fight a two-front, BTW.

Sweet! The dot matrix music you put up is bizarre, in a good way. If you used hard disks for speakers, like that guy on Slashdot a while back, it would likely be the weirdest hack in a while

-
Thanks! By the way, I am going to get Marble Craze any day now: those samples of the music on your site are slick! That and the unwavering opinion on AA that this is a sweet game are slowly pulling $25 out of my pocket
Any chance you'll be putting up more tunes? -
@uber: I just can't get it to load anything anymore. I extended the RSU-232 cable and likely that is the problem, but I can't figure it out: the connections are tight and the Intellicart screen comes up. It just stopped working a few weeks ago. Dunno.
I'll put some work into it this weekend, and dream about getting an intv and 2600 and CV with video and audio mods into the cheap arcade cab I picked up. Of course, roms would be loaded from a palm pilot nailed to the side

Also: VecRam site. I'd get this too, but already have Sean's multicart, which rocks. http://www.ric.dial.pipex.com/

Jeez! @chris: any chance you could put a call into Tom to see how things are going?

Congrats, and go Cards. I'm rooting for STL, but they've got to pitch Bonds next game.

Anyway, just like the Cuttle Cart, I'd say this is pretty much invaluable for a gamer cramped for space (like me), or for anyone too lazy to change carts or spend food $ on rare carts (me again). I'm actually surprised both of these didn't disappear over night: I bought one of the last 10 or so Intellicarts and that was over a month ago, and as soon as I can figure out why mine doesn't work I plan on logging a ton of time on it...
There is also a device like this for the Vectrex, and, maybe others (not counting flashcarts). Any other systems this type of thing is out for?
[sound of a thread being hijacked

I'm interested in several of the weird Intellivision sticks that show up on a few web pages out there, and may have an option to buy a Wico joystick for the Intellivision.
Is there any guide to hardware rarity out there / show of hands: is this a rare item?

Thanks in advance,
-
Holy snot is that cool
Congrats! Is there a window of when you hope to start selling the VVoice?
-
Yeah, I've been hoping this would work out for five months now
An additional part of my frustration with this whole thing lies in the fact I sent Tom my 2600 as well. Cash is cash, but I had some memories tied to the system.@ Manuel: I remember that thread, but the problems have been ongoing for a very long time, and he is once again unreachable. As for the computer issues: write a form letter on notebook paper and go to Kinkos for 30 min. once a week, just to calm all the people whose orders you have outstanding. I just don't buy his post, esp. since it is now a month old. An update would be nice.
@ Albert: That really sucks, but hopefully will keep this topic near the front of this forum until Tom provides some insight, and will lend more weight to the whole discussion if he doesn't.
-
@Alex: Noted. This is a great board and I'm not trying to change it. Facts help.

So that's it? Three people have posted here (or in http://www.atariage.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=13105 this thread) that they are in the same boat as I am. If this is only over $100 bucks or so total, screw it, sorry for the topic and I'll resume my solitary campaign.

-
@ Allan: thanks for the post. The plot thickens. I didn't know he was selling them at CGE, but it looks like that is where his spare time has been directed. And to think he emailed me to say he was short on supplies.
@ Stan: I'm not trying to attack him personally. His tone was convivial in the several emails we exchanged, and I'm sure he pays taxes and votes.

Baring a post from Tom, a discussion of his actions, and or lack thereof, and not their causes is the most productive way to make some headway. Several scattered emails are not working, but I'll bet one email from everyone he owes cash/product to would. Anyone else want to post on having given him $?

I ordered a 15-pin VCS mod and composite video mod, so it is understandable this would take longer, but five months? A line of honest communication with Tom would put a lot of us at ease, is my point in all of this, and was the last time I started this topic in August.

-
I do know from personal experiance.. I did receive my order.. it was pretty quickThanks for posting this. I ordered within an hour of the announcement on AA, and know of at least one person who pre-ordered. It is even more frustrating, then, to imagine he was filing just some of the orders, but how he decided which ones is beyond me. What did you buy?
...store was closed and he woulndnt have as much free time due to problems and stuff.. did you do just that??I don't understand what you are asking.
So far there is one person who has had an order filled. Those must be some "problems and stuff". I'm not trying to be overly anal about the whole thing, but jahfish has always been upfront and responsive to my queries about Thrust+, which I also ordered in May, and seeing the other side of the coin is a bit disheartening.
-
As this topic has been resurrected, here is my take. I and several others sent Tom Cosby, Jr. payment in May for various products and have received nothing but a few apologetic and evasive emails.
Now, again, he is unreachable. My last email to him indicated that I would be posting this to AA if I didn't hear from him, so here it is:
Junie's Creations http://juniescreations.netfirms.com/ is a scam. Not only is he not taking any more orders, he has AFAIK never filled one. This is not only a poor way to run a business, it is misleading and potentially harmful situation (and by harmful I mean potentially litigious). If anyone else wants to band together and get this taken care of, I'm on board.
Taking on more than you can handle is irresponsible. Not delivering for services paid is illegal. Tom: please post a deadline on this board as to when people should have their orders filled. It is sad to put this on a convivial board like AA, but I see no other effective option.
-
Hey Rob, any chance on seeing a photo of your uber-VCS? You must be running out of casing to mount stuff on

-
Just wanted to say Thomas you are on the $!

Thanks,
-
OK, thanks. Looks like I might want to just try and fix up what I've got. The problem is that the video flakes out and then everything dies pretty quickly. Any pointers?
Oh, both for the record and to make sure I know how to upload an image here
, these are the joystick adaptors I was refering to:

: I have all reciepts, PayPal, emails, etc...I felt bad for him in July...Being in debt can make you crazy, esp. if you spend other people's $ to get there...Kinkos.
Last time this thread started, it took Tom only a few days to send me a nice PM and to post on AA explaining the situation. Now he is gone. If anyone is into the Jaguar, the situation is starting to look a little like another "Tom" incident from years ago. Lets hope it ends more fruitfully.
Catbox anyone
