Dedicated JAMMA board like a 60 in 1 etc. I've read/heard some awful things about these especially the ugly menu layouts that you can't change and bad/inaccurate sounds and gameplay - but they are literally plug and play. I plan to make a 60-in-1 and a 19-in-1 so that pretty much cover 90% of the games I want to play

I've been working on the Marquee for the 60-in-1 that I'm planning to build It's toss up between these 2, any opinions? I started the kick plate but have a lot of work to get it right

I just installed a Thunderstick spinner in my Atari 6-in-1 and it is amazing. It's a "must have" if you like to play Tempest

I have been talking to Shane at DIY Retro Arcades and they are going to release a Pandora Arcade1Up kit for Horizontal Games

Thanks to Bill I just picked up a regular Asteroids at Wal-Mart for $75 I hope this has the right kind of LCD to be used as a horizontal 60-1, if not I can return it. If you're really knowledgeable about building machines and wouldn't mind discussing the subject via a phone call message me with your number and a good time to call. Thanks

Who has Centipede and Asteroids for $75? I would love to get one of each for future multi game mods

I have been racking my brain trying to make the Defender control panel work for all 4 games and this is what I cam up with so far: The Defender buttons are marked and you would use the left Joy Stick Joust would use the red J/F button for FLAP Rampage would use the red J/F button for JUMP and the white P/M button for PUNCH Gauntlet would use the red J/F button for FIRE and the white P/M button for MAGIC (I never played this game so I'm not sure about these controls) I mostly want to play Defender and Joust but might play Rampage. Not to sure if I would play Gauntlet. Anyone think this would work?

First time poster and late to the game. I just picked up the Centipede and Asteroids Deluxe Cabinets and we're loving them. After reading this entire thread I had reservations but all of those have dissipated now. Neither of our units have any noteworthy damage and the gameplay is better than I expected. I already order the Thunderstick replacement spinner for the Asteroids game and since I'm not fond of the game titles being listed on the front of the cabinets I'm going to order kick plate graphics for both of them. I love Defender and hate that they went with Rampage as the featured game on the Williams Cabinet So I plan to convert it by replacing the control panel plate with this version https://www.diyretroarcade.com/index.php/rampage-cpo-conversion-to-defender-control-deck-for-arcade1up.html However, I'm going to have it customized so we can have a second joy stick and the Jump/Climb buttons for Joust and Rampage 2 player mod. I plan to do the USB mod so I can remap the buttons for each game but I'm not sure if you can get that much control from the set up menus. I'll replace all of the graphics with a Defender kit which may seem over the top to some of you but as I said, I LOVE Defender
