  1. Yeah, Easter Eggs! Well, I wish I was a better gamer...maybe someday (30 years later after owning an Atari 2600 back in the day..lol) I might hit an "easter egg". Let's hope, eh? I mean, I only have about 40 years of gaming left! Steve
  2. Well, I never read any of the old Atari manuals for my 2600. I read them after, slap my forehead, and say, "So THAT'S what that's for!"..heh...it's more fun to discover as you go. Like Phoenix for the 2600 for another example. Pulling down on the joystick activated your shield. Hrm, I thought as I played through the first time. I accidentaly pulled down on the stick and was pleasantly surprised! Steve
  3. Greetings and salutations from a new member! I mention "Atari" to most and either they look at me blankly (didn't they play games when they were young?) or they say, "Wow, you still play that OLD thing..the games today are much better than the Atari ones back in the day." Hrm, I think to myself. I'm not playing for the graphics, I'm playing for the game PLAY. To me, that's always made more of a difference than pure prettiness from some of these console systems. Don't get me wrong..I was "wowed" with the next-gen consoles, but I always go back to the old classics (Asteroids, Berserk, Missle Command, Space Invaders, to name a few). They are just plainly and simply FUN! For those of us who collect, play, and enjoy Atari in all it's simple goodness, we stand united and as was said, Atari will NEVER die. We are the backbone of a historical period in gaming history. Never forget that. Steve
