Looks very cool, can’t wait to try it out!FYI: These are not sold by myself or anyone working on developing VEXTREME currently. Also please read the following note from the official VEXTREME project page.
⚠️ As of v0.2, this project is a work in progress, and is not ready for mass production. Please observe the currently posted issues and there may be more lurking that are not yet identified. The hardware and software is evolving. You are free to build any version, contribute and/or follow along. Please note that support of these pre-releases will be very limited and if you embark on an epic adventure to build one or a few, you should feel comfortable with this type of embedded hardware and software development. There will be road bumps, but the journey is half the fun of the destination. When things appear to be stable and we've worked out most of the kinks, we'll change the version to v1.0. Only then is it advisable to mass produce.

It can be fine if you get lucky... but I would highly advise against it

I would love to point you to VEXTREME, which is open source, and you can start with those design files... and convert to an EPROM only board fairly easily... but it's still going through some revisions to clean things up. I'd be more than happy to discuss what the specs of the PCB should be though... and it's mostly documented in the VEXTREME github repo in various places.

48.0mm wide is the preferred width IMO, which differs a bit from the above docs and is how v0.2 VEXTREME has been made.

Kind of negates the need for this thread if that's a rule
Once upon a time I made a homebrew "copy" of ArtMaster ... and labeled it "#001". I wasn't trying to make it rare, I just never made any more, that I remember.
VeCaves stands out for me as being very rare, and I love that it's being re-released! Yay, now ya'll can play it

Just adding that @Richard H. made one... and is testing...
Thanks for all of the diligent measurements Chris!

Hi Richard! Oof, I agree that IS bad form. That site is not mine or Rattboi's though. I'll contact Bob for you and have him remove that. BTW, if there's any feedback you have about VEXTREME, please feel free to contact me directly so I see it sooner (my email is "technobly" at your favorite gmail website). I believe we can all make cool products for the Vectrex and work with and support each other and not have to compete.

Jeroen Domburg (aka Sprite_tm) is attributed front and center at the top of the github repo for VEXTREME, and I spoke to him about the project and he's 100% behind the development effort we're undertaking. I would like to think Jeroen's work also inspired VecFever, so we all have a lot to thank him for!

My condolences @emmanuelf. My heart on your post is for the things you said about VEXTREME, and sending love and strength for you during this hard time ❤️
All, most of the updates for VEXTREME have been on the Facebook group Vectrex Fans Unite https://www.facebook.com/groups/vectrex/ , but you can also join the new dedicated VEXTREME Discord server here that we set up yesterday: https://discord.gg/xH22tzW
Technically speaking there is nothing VecFever does that VEXTREME cannot do as well, with a little time and big brain power. They run virtually the same hardware, and can be made to be the same hardware if necessary (I have one started with a F412 MCU). Thomas' VecFever is amazing, and nothing can take away from the work that he put into it (and is still putting into it I hope). Some day I hope to be able to buy one like many of you would.
If you'd like to see what's getting done on VEXTREME, check out the github page's CHANGELOG.md and I'd love to hear if you build one (there's a hall-of-fame section at github waiting for you)! So far two others have built VEXTREMEs, and gotten them to work. Open source FTW

I remember someone saying something about this before and wanting to put it in a real cartridge case. Someone replied that they liked the 3D printed enclosure.
After having used the same form factor for VecFlash for a while now I can say I do enjoy the smaller size and have never put it in upside down yet. Give it a try, I think you'll find it very intuitive and yes, stylish! -
Just wanted to say that I've been using the new VecFlash cart and it's awexome! Easy to iterate and add new games to the cart and the flashing process is fast. If you are going to be running an SD card back and forth to your computer, I'd argue VecFlash is just as easy if not more so. If you want to have a pile of unmarked SD cards to chose from, that's another bag of fun.
@Richard H. can you explain how one might put VecFlash in dev mode? Is that possible or is that only possible with VecMulti? I'm also wondering if this can be integrated into Vide for quick development of games xD

I sure hope so!

Hi Richard! I'd like to purchase a Vecram, please let me know where to send money.

What are the 5 rarest homebrew games on Vectrex ?
in Vectrex
Posted
Definitions of rare:
(of an event, situation, or condition) not occurring very often.
"He rarely plays his copy of Entex Adventure Vision Super Cobra, probably because he doesn't have the console -_- (...sigh)"
(of a thing) not found in large numbers and consequently of interest or value.
"Gee, this copy of Entex Adventure Vision Super Cobra sure is rare... literally everyone keeps pestering me to sell it for lots of beer money!"
unusually good or remarkable.
"Everyone that has a Vectrex has the game Mine Storm, which is a such a great clone of Asteroids that 50% of players prefer it over Asteroids! ...and that's rare."
"Rare" is individually subjective, but if you tally up the posts here you can find out what name pops up the most and... boom, that's the "rare" one.
