Why would anyone want to be a telemarketer? I'd rather clean porta-potties for a living.

I saw a bit of a Seinfeld episode where Jerry said "Oh I can't talk right now, but give me your home number and I'll call you back. Oh, you don't want strangers calling you at home? Well now you know how I feel!" and slammed the phone down. If I wasn't averse to answering unrecognized phone numbers, I'd do the same.

^ Hahahahaha, good one. We still have a landline (forced to with our internet) and guess what? Telemarketers still call despite being on the 'do not call list'. There's a phone scam going around here too, that prays on elderly. Dude calls up and says it's yours eldest grandson and he needs money for bus fare or something stupid like that. Mother in law got such a call and told him he's not her grandson and he should get an honest job. lol

@save2600 the scam of the "do not call list" is that it's completely unenforceable. That's why phone numbers from your area code are constantly calling. Those aren't the actual numbers of the people calling. They're probably calling from a random overseas Google Voice number and out of jurisdiction. SS7 needs to be replaced or updated in a hurry. https://www.cs.rutgers.edu/~rmartin/teaching/fall04/cs552/readings/ss7.pdf
