The local Walmart is completely out of TP. I wonder if people have wiped out the dollar stores too.

Ok, I have another reason. Toilet Paper takes up a ton of shelf space. That means when it sells, the emptiness of the shelves is more dramatic, but it might not be different in per unit sales compared to other items. This also means that it takes up quite a bit of warehouse space, so there is always a limit to what a store can inventory. 50 skids of toilet paper might be the same amount of units as a skid of Campbells soup. The soup is easier to keep in the inventory on hand.
