  1. The batteries in my mouse died.  Personally I think cordless keyboards and mouses suck.  Why would I want to pay for and change batteries.

Also, Harbor Freight rechargeables are nice (and cheap) especially with a coupon.

Strangely,  I'm on the other side for this one.  My keyboard needs new batteries so rarely, I can only remember changing them once in Years!   And the mouse is maybe every 4-6 months if I had to guess...But they're Real batteries!  Easy to get to, cheap as shit, rechargeables available ...Contrast that with, say a PlayStation Controller, or an MP3 Player with hidden Li-Ion Batteries that are nearly impossible to change, Easy to brick, (eBay is littered with the corpses of Apple Products where someone assumed a battery would be Easy to change (Poor Bastards)).  You won't have to take your mouse to the Apple Store to let the Klingons conduct surgery on it.  In this instance, Wireless IS Best!  (Just my thoughts)...

On the other hand, my wired mice have never needed maintenance, nor any charging hassles.  They just work. That said, I do happen to use a wireless mouse on my pc laptop and I don't even know when I last changed batteries - at least a year, probably more - it's not a frequent occurance IMHO.
