They randomly do fireworks in my area as late as 2 in the morning, starting a few days before the 4th. We get all the super-loud noise, but nothing fun to see thanks to all of the trees.

I usually can just step outside and see some...But last night I was busy doing other things like watching TV and internet stuff.   When I worked the night shift I used to enjoy the (4th of July) drive to work because, from the interstate, I'd see fireworks from all over town.

Seems like almost every place I've lived since the 1960s, if we don't go out to find people doing fireworks, we usually can't see any. It's like some kind of fireworks hell. All we are allowed to have is the noise.
