  1. It's all I have. I might try some other systems someday, but like I said before, there are lots of good Atari 2600 games I never got to try when I was a kid. Also there are some very good homebrew games and more constantly being made.

  4. Just had some deer in the backyard because part of our fence is still down.  When they saw me they tried jumping THROUGH the chain link fence.  The older ones found their way out the way they came in, but two younger ones kept trying to jump through the fence so I opened the gate. Eventually they found their way out.  It scared the hell out of me.

  5. There are so many great games to play on the 2600 that I never got to try when I was a kid. It was cost prohibitive. Now I can get these games for $1 to $10 usually. There's also the Harmony Cart which allows me to play any game I want to download. My best friend had an NES and then the SNES and so on and so on. He kept up with the times. I played that when I visited him but for some reason I never had any desire to get one for myself.
  6. I'm starting to like wearing a mask. It hides my hideous teeth.

oh, so you have pearly white teeth that are lined up perfectly? because THAT is hideous, not normal teeth.

If you wear a ski mask, you get to hide most of your face.

  11. I watched a little bit of one of the "Friday the 13th" movies the other day.  Didn't find it the least bit scary.

We've all seen enough horror flicks to desensitize us to them.  I love the F13 score!

If y'all like, we can dig up the "cable memories" thread.  I remember watching plenty of scary movies on HBO/Showtime BITD.

I think I mostly watched those films to see the beautiful boobies of the female camp counselors. When you paused a 2 head VCR back then, it wasn't very clear of a shot. First time I saw Friday the 13th was in 1981 at my friend's parent's bar they owned. We sat in the back stock room atop cases of beer while watching Home Box Office.

That's cool you mentioned the two-head vs. four-head players...I had completely forgotten about that difference. I hope to get a VCR again at some point, as my very last one stopped working a few years back.

  12. Doggone it! I didn't know you could save a "power up" and take it the next round. Can you save more than one?
  13. It's a little chilly here (50 F) but I like it.  It's nice September weather.
