    The power flashed this morning.  Some of the clocks stayed set but others didn't.

      Sounds pretty advanced for years ago. 

       

      One of my clocks has a battery back-up.  It won't show the time when the power is out but it keeps track of what time it is so when the  power

      does come back on it shows the correct time.

      I got it way back in the late 80's.

      Not too advanced. When I was a kid I got a watch that read a radio signal to set itself. Both it and my more recent alarm picked up a dedicated radio signal at 60kHz from Ft Collins, Colorado. WWVB It's been running since the mid 50s. I use it in uC clocks that I make too.

      Cool!   Fort Collins is about 48 miles from here...Driven past those antennae many a time I'll venture...At night they flash red.

      We got about 80-90 seconds without clouds.  I saw it.  It was great.  The birds and insects totally reacted.  I had heard they would, but it was REALLY obvious.

      Very cool.  Our universe is amazing.

      I was thinking the paint fumes made Garfield and Jon THINK they were going over to the Bumsteads, when in reality, they were in their own house, convulsing on the floor.

    I watched some of "The Go-Go's" documentary the other night.  I didn't know they started out as a punk band.

      Hard to believe I set all my clocks back...Or was it forward?   Oh Dang!   Just kidding.  I did it right,  but it seems like we just did this!  Or maybe I'm thinking of a power outage...A cold one...Now,  are we gonna just leave'em alone?  I could swear I once read now we're gonna leave'em alone...Does anyone know?  Are we gonna stay on Daylight Savings Time?  Cuz I like it :)

       

      Update:  We're not staying... :(

      I spend more than a few hours on ebay everyday. They have servers everywhere to keep latency nil. Sometimes the local one can get a bit wonky and you run into issues, but they usually correct issues within a few hours on the outside. If you have a problem that persists for more than a day, then you contact support.

    Snow is back up for Tuesday but a 35% chance.  Maybe by tomorrow or Tuesday it will be a 90 to 100% chance.

    I think it was in '78 but I'm not sure.  I was in Florida when it happened.  They were calling for a dusting of snow and it snowed an inch an hour for 24 hours.

    First there was a 75% chance of snow next Tuesday, then 60% and now it is down to 50%.  I'm a snow lover so this is disappointing.

      I have a snow blower, a backup snow blower, a spare engine for my snow blowers, a fuel buffalo, a few leaf blowers, and many shovels. One must be prepared when they have a driveway that's the better part of 1000 feet.
