  1. Contact tracing - How could they possibly know whether or not you have had contact with an infected person??  Are they omnipresent?

An unknowingly infected person rides subway train, then when the infected person realizes he is infected, he must use a time machine to go back and ask everyone on the subway platforms and train to write down their names, addresses, and phone numbers. :D

No, that's not how it works. They're only asking for contact info of people you know personally, whom you've had extended close personal interaction with.

Now...Say you go around licking people's elbows, or getting excitedly into tickle fights with strangers, or playing thumb wars in front of 10,000 people, (maybe more)...Next thing ya know,  say you develop some symptoms...Now it's probably just allergies from putting guinea pigs up to your eyes even though you know you're allergic, or a cold from rubbing up against your hot female cousin while she strummed your banjo the other night at the hoedown...On second thought, You know, whatever I was saying,  I think I'll stop here;   Wouldn't want this to get silly...

  3. The batteries in my mouse died.  Personally I think cordless keyboards and mouses suck.  Why would I want to pay for and change batteries.

I finally got a decent mouse on Amazon for about $14 (Inphic). Charges from USB port in under 2 hours and lasts over 2 months with daily use. It goes to sleep so you don't have to remember to turn it off and you can also use it while plugged in and charging. Liked it enough that I another for my desktop.

My old Mircosoft mouse ate up an AA alkaline battery every month and you had to remember to turn it off.

  4. I opened up my Mom's pool a couple of days ago.  The warm winter created a mess of algae.

  5. Rain expected all next week. I don't mind it except for the extra grass cutting.  Last year was very wet too.

  6. I just got home and it smells like something died in here.  I checked on the cat and cleaned the litter box.  I can't figure out where the smell is coming from.

Yeah, I've had that happen.  A rat burrowed into the insulation in one of my walls and died there.

I only smelled it downstairs yesterday and today the smell seems to have dissipated.  I don't think I just got used to it because I couldn't

smell it upstairs where I sleep.

Flowers always, but how about a favorite picture of her, nicely framed? Something like a 5x7 or 8x10.

Being there, or just knowing that you care if you're not nearby, will mean more to her than any gift. I'm sorry for your loss.

Give ground turkey a try if you haven't already. I did over 25 years ago and can count on one hand how many times I've bought ground beef since. Ground venison is excellent too.

Is there an Aldi near you?  They seem to be well stocked up in meats (not the best but ok).  Also, Aldi has high quality grass fed free range ground beef for like $5 a pound, so not too much more than regular ground beef.  It comes in small packs of one pound each.

I already bought a couple of chocolate rabbits at the dollar store....Yesterday I bit the ears offa one,...For old time's sake.

    3. GoldLeader

      GoldLeader

I have this theory.  (Sure, I'll put it here, why not?)  Maybe the reason the candy eyes of chocolate rabbits are always looking down or to the side, is so they're not looking directly at you when you bite their heads off.
