    I watched "A Christmas Story 2"  while the hallway and stairwell were being painted.   Looks like I picked the RIGHT week to take up paint fumes.

    I got a call from my own name and number.  LOL Damn scammers.  If this happens to you don't pick up. I didn't.  Checked google and this is without a doubt a scammer calling.

      That scam has been around a long time. They will use your number to call other people and harass them too. Be careful.

    Thank you AtariAge.  I was feeling stressed out about the next few weeks.  Getting on here and escaping for awhile calmed me down.

    The good thing about going to relatives is you don't have to cook.  The bad thing is you don't have leftovers so you have to cook a new meal.

      Cooking a turkey is so easy, though.  Rinse it off, Put it in a pan, drizzle some oil and seasoning/rub if you like, and then wait 5 hours.  You really don't have to do much.  It's the side dishes that take all the time, if you want to get fancy, but you don't need to.

    Thanksgiving will soon be here.  I got invited to my cousin's house so I don't have to cook this year. How about you?

      I don't like turkey, cranberries, yams, etc. so I'm bringing a beef stew in the crock pot to my folks' house.  Every family member lives at least somewhat close to each other but my oldest sister and mom don't come (stupid past family issues, and my mom divorced my dad around 1979).  I'll do a Thanksgiving dinner with my mom the following weekend, either a roast or prime rib and Au Gratin potatoes.
