Got ‘Final Lap Twin’ for Turbogrfx HuCard to play on the Analogue Pocket! Nice!! Ordered ‘Afterburner 2 - PC Engine’ straightaway.

It’s a AI generated image. You ‘just’ tell the AI ‘art’ generstor what you want made, and it bring up some stuff.
I just found it hilarious that some AI generated ‘fake’/‘fan-art’-poster seemed almost, or - not even almost - it looks cooler than what I now have come to expect from the Matrix franchise… which is somehow simultaneously sad and hilarious: sad, because they ruined a masterpiece - hilarious because a truly stupid AI art generator can sometimes cough up things that at least seems cooler, even if its all fake and dreams…

Got through Shadow of the Beast for Lynx on the Analogue Pocket. Wow: 9,5/10 - brilliant game! Should wish Psygnosis had made more titles for it!
-
Got the Recharged:very playable, (~50% off next 30H)and nuAtari & nuIPgames.Tumblebug->Ataris own puzzler.Mr.Run&Jump. Playable, yes, but;some buts. Atari50th: needs more DLC, pay or free please. Bubsy can come in handy if everything goes pawsibly more wrong more often, more funny and more playable.

Recharged games coming to Arcades, and the Devs.asking us what we’d like of design-changes and implements! Way too good an opportunity to miss out, not comment on…
-
Had plenty of fun with the Analogue Lynx-Adapter. First game done with save-states: Rygar: a solid 8/10 - precisely the kind of game I missed having (on the Lynx) as a teen in the 90ies.

(See picture) The Analogue Pocket is a openFPGA handheld console which ‘natively’ plays GB, GBC and GBA-cartridges. (The console unit is the HelloKitty-pink one), but with adapers (black things in black box) inserted into its back, you can play Lynx, PC Engine and NeoGeo Pocket games. There is also a separate adapter for Sega GameGear) Analogue Pocket is $230 I think, GameGear adapter $30, and the set of Lynx + PC Engine + NeoGeo Pocket must be bought in its 3-pack at $100.

Good to hear things are arriving! Hope Analogue will get more people interested in the system(s), and that they/him will be able to ramp up production.

Actually everything Neo Geo Pocket flew over my head when it was around.
I guess I could’ve found something for any system I’d like to collect, but - lols - due to ‘financial realities’, I think I’ll start with absolute necessities first…
How much I’ll end up exploring with time, time will show.

I took a break from using AI-graphics engines.
I miss it already: it made me feel intelligent.
-
My Analogue Lynx Adapters are launched and on their way: touch down 4th of March !!
-
Have had a blast testing AI image generators. Yes, they must generally be spoonfed, but its often when the intelligence just isn’t there, that the most funny pictures are created!

Whatever I asked Mother to do for me, She said it would be self-deleted within 10 minutes… whatever I tried to reason, it always looped back to that comclusion. Like She has for it to happen.
’Ask HAL’ always just auto-deleted things straight over my head without asking. It gathered all information about my person and privat life, and told which pictures to keep on my phone for my own safety.
It said it needed no ‘red button’, because it had the ‘red eye’.

‘Your Analogue Pocket Adapter Set Preorder is being prepared. Your Analogue Pocket Adapter Set preorder is now being prepared to ship.’ - pheeww, at last!

On my mind: Ayreon is totally awesome-like just wow. That not having money is totally awful-like just wow. Equation runs to absolute zero.
-
Yes - Ayreon the artist with band is totally awesome. Having just scraps of money ‘til tomorrow wasn’t that awesome (I don’t seriously whine, ‘t was a joke - goodness I’m quite spoilt on many fronts)
And my math went wrong: no money for one weekend, but Ayreon on the stereo, I’m still on plus. A large plus.

I’ll discontinue my Apple Arcade subscription: too few good games, and the ones that are good needs a physical hand-controller to be enjoyed, and preferably be used on Apple TV. This isn’t worth it.

(curious) Your favourite slogan or one-liner from a video game:____________

@Giles N Believe it or not, it's also a pinball game.
I also know a couple one-liners from some anime, but since I'll keep this game-related here's another one from the Postal Dude, "The genepool is stagnant and I am the minister chlorine."

Awesome headstart as Lynx collector:PacLand,Ninja Gaiden1&3, Roadblasters,Rampage,Rygar,Robotron,Shadow of the Beast++ already. Now, please, Analoge Lynx Adapter - get here in time, I need you!

I’ve tested most titles on emulation. Had a Lynx back in the early 90ies, but screen too poor-quality for me to provide fun now. I look forward to playing all these titles on Analogue Pocket with its brilliant screen and solid build, so really can’t wait for the Lynx-adapter. With (hope it’ll work) save-states on SD card, it’ll be a blast. Its kind of title I m really wanted for my Lynx back then - scrolling action-arcade in fantasy-something setting.
-
I just ordered a 4 pack of brand new Lynx games myself! I never had a Lynx BITD but a friend did so at least I played it once...I should probably order some more stuff for it. Somehow I imagine when the adapter actually releases, suddenly Lynx games all cost the moon, but then I realize I wouldn't really know...And I have this sinking feeling they already cost the moon...HMMmmmm. Maybe some Lynxsters can chime in and slap some sense into me so I know what I'm talking about (in the future)...

Fell for Apples tricks to pull me into free 30 days trial subscription of Apple Arcade. 3 days into the free trial, it was totally, well, fairly worth it. Discovered Horizon Chase 2 - which looks the part on iphone, but eventually had my buy it on Switch for better controls.
Frogger Toy Town has bucketloads of charm. Now, I only hope they get it to the Switch so I can actually have some decent control-options…

…eatable… not untouchable from another dimension

Oh man, voice-driven navigation only would be absolutely terrible!
I can imagine it playing out something like this BBC comedy skit 🤣:
-
Tested ‘Siri’ - Apples appointed voice-recognizer and AI helper.
No, I do not thinks she qualifies on any level to take over the world with a machine-army.

Seeing that, it’s like …just woowww … total jaw-drop … I mean your research… All pieces comes together: 1984 (surely no coincidence), and Siri-AI is practically ‘She’ - just nerfed to voice-only, everything else the same depth of character, quality, style, level of intelligence (another utter jaw-drop right there)… everything.
-
Well, its seems the missing parts you’re referring to are popping up in China, under State-surveilance production (but not secret in anyway), so … a global Siri-robot takeover starting in Silicon valley, is probably right around the corner anyway. I mean: what are the Apple CEO going to say (if he bothers to) - I’m mean he’ just a human anyway… ruled by She.

Happy New Year to everyone here!!!
Wish you all the best in the upcoming year!

Since I have my own Atari console set-up and collection at hand, I bought a 2600+ to sell in Norway with 10 2600-games and 25 7800-games. Hope there’s some Atari love in Norway.
And for the future it wouid come in really handy if almost full or full original-games+ aftermarket-games compatibility will be made a reality.

Borrowed a bunch of Gameboy Advance cartridges from my brother today to test my pinky Analogue Pocket. Nope, not Hello Kitty. But Out Run for Sega Arcade Gallery couldn’t have been a better match!
Just need those Miami Vice clothes and its as 80ies retro as it gets.
And it works wonderful - brilliant screen, 1:1 perfect cart-reading-running.
What a retro-handheld monster-machine!!!

Have you received any news/updates concerning the shipment of the triple-set of adapters…?
If you ordered a set, have you received yours?- - -
Another thing: is there a save-state-function for use with any game, anywhere or at any time within a game - separate from savepoints made by the game-makers? I mean an Analogues own save-state function?
-
Now, as for Save States, I hadn't even worried about it (yet)...But I plugged the Data into my BadAss Mother 4000 SupercompuTron and it spit out this:
How to do a save state on Analogue Pocket?Press [analogue] and [up] to capture a save state. During gameplay, press [analogue] to access the in game menu and select Memories to load or delete Save States. For access to Memories power user features go to Settings > Memories.(Yeah,...The Internet hahaa)It seemed to me that "Memories" was kinda sketchy for some reason and didn't always work, though...But I had "Cheap Memory Card Syndrome" early on, and now I have a good one.

I wondered if I should start a FM TOWN MARTY thread under ‘Classic Consoles’. Wondered for about 23 seconds. When my mind came to the word ‘marty’, it was over. My social reputation - even as icognito Atari-dog, must come first!!
