In Norway every election there’s much fuzz surrounding toll stations along highways. When Elon Musk shot a Tesla into Space, some got worried our government would put up toll stations in space…

Finally got around to test for the 5200: Laser Gates, Tempest, Miner 2049er (TIX-grfx update). Laser Gates - cool enough, Tempest - oh my thats tough as nails, 2049er (TIX-verdion): great!!

Having a lightning-input on my phone, as battery went low, and as I had to use the input for loading, I wondered ‘how in the world am I going to listen to music now??’ Then I remembered I have a physcial stereo in my livingroom (Have things come too far…)
-
You can get a dongle for that I assume? So you usually connect the iphone to a stereo? I usually just use Google Home Mini smart speakers around the house. They are wi-fi connected and are robust. I hate using Bluetooth speakers. I listen by telling google to play Pandora -- Blue Oyster Cult or whatever, or I will open up Pandora app on my phone and select a station. But a physical stereo is nice too -- larger the speakers the better.

I awakened as I remembered I actually had to remember I have a physical
stereo in my livingroom … ?

Always wondered what Darth Vader would do if his life-support armour went low on batt. during combat…

I’d guess his life-support system would go bonkers.

Another thing I’ve wondered about is if one of the read buttons on his chest-panel actually is an off-switch…
I mean, what if he and Palpatine gets into a quarrel?

A good way to hinder AI from taking over the world, would be to pull out the plug from its hardware.

Ok, but since AI is still not understood as to outcome of how the programs thinks, one may develop an AI with limits of scope (without knowing anything about programming, I think this is what you say - lock its direction of tasks).
Another thing is simply that nothing dependent on energy/electricity, deprived of its energy source will continue working.

Mario Golf for Switch: I think the critics has been a bit hard on it. Only played 2 player, and I’d say at least 8/10.

I’m not so familiar with the other Mario Golf games out there, but I had my fun with this one.
So perhaps I have too little background of comparison, but I really thought it was fun.
Guess much is personal taste.
Sorry it didn’t do for you: put ‘em out on ebay.

It would have been hard to improve on the 3ds's asymmetric online multiplayer tournament mode (think trackmania)--so they decided not to include anything remotely fun like that. The single player campaign also looks weaker than average for the franchise, and super rush mode doesn't even look like golf. maybe there will be dlc to fix it, but that's not selling me a game I should have been a slam dunk for day-one. As is, my price for it is $9.99 and if that sale never comes, I won't be heartbroken since it appears to be the series' lowpoint.

Good summer to everyone here!

Some tough days now and then, but enjoy the good weather in my part of Norway.
But I spend lots of time on phone and the net with friends. Spends much time with my family of origins… and listen hours and hours on music … (what should I do without music?)…
Yeah, and I’ve gotten my first vaccination.
Second will be Sept.17th.
We’re getting there…

And as we test and re-test our oldschool hardware and software, how do we test quite novel global software like FB, Youtube, Twitter etc, etc...
of course they can do whatever they want whithin their own given limits...
... but how to test it...?

Some brilliant norwegian extreme metal (if you’re into that):
(Go into profile to have a look, a listen)

Playing Adventure 2 for the 5200, really makes me think of Sam Gamgoods commment ‘I think we’re walking in circles Mr.Frodo’...
-
Perhaps I’m too late; but this made me go like ‘yeah - thats the original spirit man!!’
(have a look a my profile for link...!)
Tunnel Runner for the 2600 is 9,5/10!

Fair ‘nough, not retro-anything, but whats good about Garage-band, is that it actually gets things going - at least for me...

After playing Dracula for Lynx on Evercade, I needed to watch Nosferatu from 1922 (which is hardcore-retro); and its strange how it seems to have the only scary conceptualization of Dracula. All later takes put him as a playboy or charmer. This old, german silent-movie depict Dracula as actually dead and scary.

I’ll recommend Scrapyard Dog, Blue Ligthning and Dracula (If you’re into point and click adventures).

7800 vs Master System; both cool, but 7800 has more balanced CPU-power.
7800 vs NES; both cool, but 7800 has more sprites on-screen without flicker...
-
I don't really think it's fair to compare the 7800 to either even if you're looking at the superior aspects of the system. The NES and SMS were perfect for platforms and beat-em-ups as they had hardware scrolling registers. The main point is different generations of hardware and each system had it's pros and cons. Personally i love them all for different reasons.
-
I sort of agree.
I’m actually a sufficient fan of the SMS to have obtained a modded version with region-switch and FM-sound-chip.
I do however think of the 7800 as same gen. as the NES and SMS, but as you said they have individual strenghts and weaknesses.

Am I the only one being tired of endless and frequent IOS-updates making stuff I paid actual money for, obsolete & non-functional?

yeah, sort of, but not easy to ‘consume’ a non-operative piece of software...
-
I’m also into recent gaming - for
the Nintendo Switch - the very recently released Super Mario All-Stars!!
-
I just love it... the colours, the style, the silly music, the silly costumes giving new abilities ... everything about it really...
... and with save-states its even better as I don’t have as much time to play now as when I was like 13-16...
(when I perhaps should have worked a little harder on school...ahem)...

How’re you doing today?

Sorry to hear about the non-functional 32X.
I really hope mine will work.
I ordered it from UK.
It was a seller-modded/refurbished console, able to switch between PAL and NTSC.
Got Star Wars, Afterburner, Virtua Fighter, some Mech-game, and a few other titles.

I saw that Darxide was sold from the United Arab Emirates for 7300$ (!!!) on eBay...
Which, in my humble opinion is a tad much for a rather obscure game, even if good...

@CPUWIZ
You can only share how your day’s been before you run...- - -
I’m not into enforcing opinions on the Sega 32X...
(... even though I’m curious...)

What’s on my mind: a) waiting for several games ‘n consoles to show up in the mail, b) reading Bram Stokers ‘Mystery of The Sea’ for the second time this year, c) trying to read a biography about Stoker, d) worrying about my economy, e) trying to find good combos of power-chord progressions...

Yesterday night, I played Star Wars Arcade for the 5200: got to wave 84 and score: 22,648,236.
The Evil Galactic Empire loosing 83 Death Stars in about 2 hours is surely ‘a day to remember’!
