Just re strung my electric guitar and tuned it. Took me about an hour because I haven't played it in over 15 years. Getting a new amp next week so I can be cool again.😎

Took me years to "accept" drop d, but I use it a good bit now-that BFMV tune is dropped, but I think it's all the way down to c#, drop d, 1/2 step down.
OK, I am particular to Zoom, most would prolly say same/same with the Digitech stuff, so good deal on that, definitely work to dial that in.
Based on your header there, I imagine you'd prescribe to my theory of "there's really no such thing as too much distortion", lol, so use the gnarliest one, turn the gain/crunch all the way up.
Also, way more important than I used to think-if the Digitech has a compressor, work that into your sound as well, it REALLY "cleans you up", especially with heavy distortion.
Ah(again, yur header), the beginning of Hangar 18 is pretty fun to play, and almost "simple" enough to be a good "excersise", mostly keeping up with the right hand(I'm actually very left handed, but play guitar right)-it's a bit of a finger twister at first, but again, simple after you get it.
Gets a tad ridiculous in the verse, especially considering Dave is playing it and singing it, but doable.
Have fun, and honest, don't be scared to pick up and try some "cheap guitars", if it feels good to you, then it's the one you should play!
