      Thanks, I loaded Mint XFCE 19.3.  I figured I'd try that first.  It seems nice and has tons of utilities and office programs too.  I can't figure how to get my WiFi card recognized though.  It only recognizes the ethernet port.

    The TRS80 is a wonderful little machine. Apparently, people got by with black and white just fine BITD. I can see why. 

    anyway, I'll continue to mess around with it, see what I can find out.

      My grandfather used a Model III well into the 90's to do stock charting and finance.  He would run his programs early in the morning and then call his broker to make any changes.

    I was doing some cleaning today and I noticed my wife has a (half empty) bottle of wine under her computer desk. Gotta stay sane somehow, more power to her. Incidentally, I have a (almost empty) bottle of rum in the cabinet I keep usb cables and other random computer gear.

      I haven't had it this bad ever!  It's been since Tuesday night and I am still not 100%.  I have had it last a day or two tops and usually I am right back on my feet again.  The digestion part, dizziness and fever lasted a day and a half but my gut still hurts and I am mildly dizzy still.  That said, I've only had food poisoning two or three times in the past so I'll count myself lucky there.
