  1. Also, if you are patient, Songbird keeps stock of Towers II. They sell out quickly but if you check in frequently you can get one from them. Still an expensive game but it is available.
  2. My new tag line for the day: You are a pillar of patience and understanding.

I said this to myself and immediately stubbed my toe on my bedframe. Today my tag line is simply: Violence.

  3. Sounds like a game glitch to me but have you tried calibrating the controllers? There is a controller manual online. I know it is on the founders discord but I think it is also on the Atari VCS website. Try this: Q2. My Wireless Modern Controller is drifting/moving on its own, or is responding inaccurately. A1. Recalibrate your controller: Connect the MicroUSB cable to the MicroUSB port of the controller. Hold down the “back arrow”, “Atari Fuji logo” and “3 lines” buttons at the same time and connect the USB cable to the USB port of your VCS (or PC). The LED will give a quick flash indicating this controller is in the calibrate mode. Rotate the left joystick 360 degrees three times. Rotate the right joystick 360 degrees three times. Press the left trigger all the way down three times. PRess the right trigger all the way down three times. Press both the "D-PAD Down" and "Y" button at the same time to save and exit the calibrate mode.
  4. Already claimed. Well, that's what I get for sleeping in on a Sunday!
  5. Ok Rick, the module inside the VCS is a REALTEK RTL8822CE. It is an integrated Wifi and Bluetooth module. It supports Bluetooth 5.0 and 802.11ac as well as a/b/g/and n band Wifi. Find a full description here: https://www.realtek.com/en/products/communications-network-ics/item/rtl8821ce If you are currently using Ethernet, you may want to try using Wifi from another room just to test the module and range before opening the case again. Just my 2p. Hopefully this helps shed some light on your issue.
  6. Hmm. I thought they were one in the same, but I could be wrong. I don't want you to think that you have to open up the machine again if you don't have to. Maybe a little more research on the subject first...?
  7. Glad you figured it out, but that raises another question. If you were only 10 feet away, why was there an issue? I am at least 15 feet away and don't have any issues. I wonder if perhaps you bumped one of the antennas off. I might open it up again and check to be sure.
  8. Bumpin' a dead thread! Skyhammer, Varuna's Forces, Phase Zero, Barkley Shut up and Jam, Caves of Fear, Arena Football.

  10. If the VCS is sleeping, the light on the front will flash every 3 seconds or so. You can then wake the VCS by just pressing the Fuji button on the controller. The controllers should pair in about 5-10 seconds. If you are shutting the VCS off completely then it would take a little longer to pair. 5-10 Minutes is unacceptable though. Mine usually take 30 to 60 seconds from being shut off. Have you updated the controller firmware? There is an update for the controllers as well as the Bios and OS. Check into that, I believe the controller must be wired to perform the update though. If that does not work, try contacting Atari support using the link I provided to you before. Good luck.
  11. Yeah, they're still working out all the bluetooth bugs. It seems that is the biggest problem with this console. I can't get out of apps or chrome if a controller falls asleep. As long as I keep the controller on (push a button every 10 minutes or so) it works fine.
  12. Great work Phoboz. The progress you made is very impressive. Looking forward to this one for sure.

    Jaguar games

I just need a few to complete my collection. They need not have boxes or manuals as all of my collection are intended to be played (I am not opposed to boxed copies, they are just not important to me). They just need to work. Titles are: Flip Out Missile Command 3D Ultra Vortek Worms Zoop Also looking for later releases, home brews and demos (Black Ice/White Noise, Zero 5, Phase Zero, Flappy McFur, Elansar, Downfall +, Brett Hull Hockey just as examples) Let me know what you have and maybe we can make a deal.

Fun reflection: The "Swedish fish" are virtually unknown as a candy in Sweden. You might find it if you look far into every place that sells sweets, but are as typically Swedish as yogurt with caramelized popcorn are a typical US snack.

  15. Rick, if you go into your TV menu (I see you have a Samsung) and go to settings and then to picture size, you can change it. I had to do that to mine and and selected "fit to screen". It's called over scan.
  16. Anyone near Manalapan NJ?  Here is an Atari Pole Position cabinet in what looks like good condition for $100.  Not my sale, just passing it along as it seems like a good deal.

  19. Great job with the review as usual Mockduck. I was unsure what exactly Airconsole is but your video clarified that. Sounds pretty fun and I may have to try it. I also liked how you put yourself in the quiz at the end, great production.

  21. I know Up N' Down for the A8 has a demo. Maybe more of a screen saver?
  22. Not that it's a bad thing, but the drumming sound you have when an enemy is near is the same sound effect used in Unsung Warriors on the Atari VCS. Just an observation. I think the sound effects you used are great and I'm looking forward to this release. Great job Phoboz.
  23. I scored a really nice pickup from Craigslist. Two Playstation 2s, a ton of games (most of which I don't already have), five controllers and a carry bag all for $60. I also got one of Bratwursts 7800 joysticks. I really like the feel of it and it was a fair price too. Thanks again Bratwurst!
