  1. I've been playing Unsung Warriors Prologue for a bit. This is very fun and challenging. I really want to purchase the full version when it comes out. My 10 yo was having fun with it too. I played a bit of MK, Pacman and Ninja Golf on Antstream. The kiddos thought Ninja Golf was a riot!
  2. Just re strung my electric guitar and tuned it.  Took me about an hour because I haven't played it in over 15 years.  Getting a new amp next week so I can be cool again.?

While we're all comparing guitar notes, my first electric was a solid body Univox combo with Fender musicmaster bass amp (15w).

Man, pulling that g-string if I did not sound like Hendrix I must have been delusional!  More proof, years later I taught myself

the Star-Spangled Banner, complete with distortion and feedback enough to rock a stadium!  These days however I prefer

to play drums, call me crazy...

The last time I pulled a G-string was the last time.  I got slapped pretty hard!:lolblue:

      ?that was great

  3. Thanks, I have 3 that need recapped and speakers. I'll do a search for him.
  4. I bought my base and CD units a little more than 15 years ago (all from Ebay). I don't think I paid more than $50 each for the base units and $75 each for the Cds. The CD I primarily use has the door release button binding a little (like doctorclu). I really should fix that. Anyway, yeah, I would never get into a Jag now at current prices. I have a hard enough time affording a new game here and there. Maybe when the GD becomes a bit more mainstream the prices for the CD will come down a bit.
  5. What is the best time to have a dentist appointment?

    Tooth hurty!

  6. I thought that's how they do it in Australia, not Canada.
  7. Err, this reminds me that I need to fix mine too. The left direction does not work. Sorry, I have no advice to offer as I have never been inside one.
  8. There is surprisingly little about it on the net. I did find this: https://gamesniped.com/2010/12/09/vintage-atari-butane-lighter/ I bet that Brad at Best has a whole pallet full of them in his warehouse though and he probably doesn't even know it.
  9. You've already posted this one. Top of this page.
  10. If you want to get really crazy you can buy a bottle of DeOxit and apply that with a cotton swab. That may help things out too, plus it would protect the contacts from future oxidation.
  11. I have had this with any number of games. Try cleaning the games contacts with some isopropyl on a cotton swab, that should get any of the junk off of them. You may need to do it a few times and with a little force. Other than that, try inserting the game several times, this will "wipe" the contacts clean. I am not aware of any problems with those particular games. Good luck.
  12. What concert costs just 45 cents?

    50 Cent with Nickelback!

Pretty sure their actual name came from some kind of thing like that, amount of change at Starbucks or something.

*Embarrassed to vaugely know ANYTHING about Nickelback...*

Sounds like chump change if you ask me.

  13. I met a guy named Nunzio and I asked him who his employer was.

    His reply was Nunzio business!

  14. I don't always Whoomp.  But when I do, there it is.

  15. I don't think you can even get one now anyway. It appears they are sold out.
  16. There will always be some ham fist. I like them very much and like Clint said, they nailed it. They all seem to be a bit wobbly but it doesn't hinder game play at all. With a four inch tall stick I'm actually surprised it isn't more wobbly as I would expect that as you get further from the axis. BTW Clint, What kind of speakers are in your pic? Do they sound as good as they look?
  17. Is it just me, or does anybody else read the model number on this a TANDYT2000?
  18. Yikes. Have you contacted Atari at https://atari.gamecentergroup.com/index.php?/VCS/Tickets/Submit . They should be able to help you or get you a new unit. Either way, good luck.
  19. Received my VCS yesterday and tried it out. I am pleased with the build quality of the unit. It is much heavier than I thought it would be. The OS and store front just needs a little tweaking. The modern controllers work well and are built nicely. The classic joysticks are built well in my opinion but don't seem to play so nice in certain games. I played pong ok but Missile Command Recharged, Centipede, Millipede and a couple others seemed to not respond to inputs. Hopefully this is just a software update and a patch will be forthcoming. Atari has stated there will be a large OS update in the coming weeks and hopefully most of the issues will be worked out. I am waiting for the update before I make any purchases in the store that require $. Overall I like the VCS, there are just a few bugs to fix.
  20. I'm going to get in on this and wish Al an early Happy Birthday for next year.
