      Yep, one of those things that's probably easy to do if you're a pro. It's a hard-won skill. So once you master it, you will then want to do other tile projects for others. :) Hopefully for money. I learned a lot of stuff owning an old house for 20 years. I could probably start a small project construction co. at this point with my skills and tools owned. I think in Ohio if it's $1,000 or less, you don't need a contractor's license.

    I had an 800XL as a kid and loved to play Up n' Down, Millipede, and Star Trek on that. I bought numerous 2600s later at yard sales and had a couple hundred games. My favorite on the 2600 was Q*Bert.

    Today I received a mystery gift in the mail. I received a Centipede Recharged tee shirt in the mail and have no idea who sent it to me. I already checked with my Dad and my Sister and they both said that it wasn't them. I am wondering if it was my Not-So-Secret Santa. 🤔

    Let it hang. Some VCS owners have reported it taking a few hours for the initial update. After that it's usually only a couple minutes max.

    Ahh, so it was YOU! My wifey said it came this morning. I don't open gifts until at least Christmas Eve, so everyone will just have to be on their toes until then! My recipients gift is also out for delivery today as well. The postal service is on top of things this year for sure.

      I loved listening to The Monkees albums. I never heard anything from First National Band though... I should go find a tune and see if I like it.

      I've been a fan of the Monkees (and particularly Nez) for over 40 years. He looked especially frail during the tour he and Micky just concluded, but of course you always hope that such things are momentary.

       

      I'd highly recommend checking out Nez's solo work. Tropical Campfires, The Newer Stuff, Magnetic South, and if you're looking for something a bit different, try The Prison (which is a masterpiece) or Rays. Micky just released an amazing album of covers of Nez's work titled Dolenz Sings Nesmith. Well worth checking out.

    It would help in PC mode. I don't think the Atari OS would take advantage of it though. Streaming Apps/Chrome probably wouldn't be able to take advantage of it either.

    Bought an Arcade 1UP MK II cabinet on Tuesday.  I received it today, two days earlier than expected!  I assembled that sucker in about an hour and a half with my older daughter helping.  This thing is really cool and looks great in my newly renovated basement!

    I rather like the Garfield comics, but I agree. I created the Post Your Favorite Comic Strip thread so Garfield could have a home there (as well as other comics), but to no avail.

    Just a thought, where do you live? What kind of keyboard do you use? The VCS currently only supports the U.S. QWERTY keyboard. If you are using a QWERTZ or AZERTY keyboard the VCS will not recognize it.

    Jeff is doing a version for the VCS. It was announced in the September Atari financial report. By the time it comes out it will probably be Tempest 5000 though. He has a dev kit and has posted pics of it on his twitter.
