The only printer I ever hooked up to my Ataris (800 XL and 130 XE) was an Atari 1025. My God, how I learned to hate that thing! It was slow (the print head could only print from left to right, and it took forever for it to bake it back to the start of the next line), LOUD, and always seemed to jam up at the worst time, like right before class when the paper was due. I always swore I was going to take that thing out and shoot it after graduation. Fortunately that moment never presented itself, and I still have it over in storage.

Good call!

I will see what I can do. I only know of them through that article on 8 bit machines and ham radio that appeared in Antic. It's supposed to be a great unit.

The Interface ][ can be bought for $25...
I have been eye balling that one for a while. This might get me to pull the trigger on it. I might check with the local radio club and see if anyone has something they're willing to part with on the cheap.

Just now, AtariGeezer said:Check out that thread for HamSoft and Amtor too from kantronics.
What TNC or Radio Modem do you use?
At this point, it's still to be determined. I will probably pick up an old Kantronics interface and see what I can do about wiring up the cables to mate it up with an IC 746.

Looks like I am a day late (OK, more like a year late) on this one. Did anyone ever get this one dumped to a file? I am very interested in getting my 8 bit machine on the air with RTTY.

Well, I'm pretty late on this one, but I'd love to have an XL and an XE version if it's possible.

I am interested in this one as well. Has anyone ever written a keyboard driver for the NetUSBee that will work with a Mega?
