a lot of people use ebay as a pricing reference for 2nd hand items these days. also people tend to think old = valuable and tend to over price things they don't know much about. also they might confuse two different things one thing might be worth what they're asking for another. you mustn't forget about those who flip either they may find something cheap and try to over charge for it. the private seller market is fickle one day you stumble across a nintendo tournament cart for $5 the next someone wants $1000 for a copy of E:T 

I'd say if it's operational 75 isn't all that bad a price and good luck with your colecovision
