2600 cartridges bought in usa can be played on pal/european console?

Hi Opened the 2 joysticks Aparently the small metal cap together with the fire button caused constant fire condition, The small cap was also misaligned on its position, Took it out, pressed it a bit so to regain cap structure and prepositioned it back, closed joystick, Walla, both of them returned to operational state, In addition checked & there was no shortage on none of the joystick pins, signals, leads Thank you very much for the advice Strange that it happened to both joysticks in same manner!

hi 6ixer light - cx2600u - joystick constant fire on 'combat' & no fire on 'asteroids' i got the same phenomena for both joysticks left/right as soon as i connect either joysticks to the console the tanks move to constant fire on asteroids it is simple no fire at all with 1 fire on game start i read through the forum - does it narrows down to bypassing the 4050 buffer?
