  1. Yes, you should connect your USB flash drive with the latest update directly before the console boots for the 1st time. Thus, in 15 minutes maximum, your console will be functional and you will avoid disappointments. And yes you can update the bios afterwards via the internet without any problem. I have 3 VCS at home and in total I have installed 14 of them! So don't worry about doing so, everything will be fine. And above all, there is no added value to be updated by the internet out of the box.
  2. Have I been dreaming? I remember reading that there would be a surprise if you connect the classic vcs800 controller to it? Was I dreaming or not ?
  3. You can do a reset. Look underneath the controller, there's a small hole at the top right of the Atari logo. Turn on the controller in wireless mode, push a pinhead into the hole until you feel the button press at the bottom of the hole. Normally, the controller turns off. Turn it back on, plug it into wired mode and go to the settings to recreate the calibration.
  4. The answer: "Hello, thank you for the message. Yes I am a registered developer with Atari and am in direct contact with David Paige. I actually have two titles which are finishing development this month that will come to the Atari VCS first.".
  5. I just asked him that question before I considered anything : "If I understand correctly, with the Warrior Pack, we will receive 1 digital copy of the game (in advance if applicable per platform). Can you confirm that you will be able to do this on Atari VCS? Did you see that with David Paige from Atari? Are you an Atari validated developer?"
  6. Firstly You have to disable the e-mmc under the bios. Secondly you have to use the windows installation program to create the usb stick. Follow the instructions like for all others pc. When done you have to enable the e-mmc. How_to_disable_eMMC_and_M.2_Atari_VCS.pdf
  7. I understand your opinion. And yes, there are already plenty of games of the same style on the VCS, except that I don't have them, so I compare with what I have, in this case the demo of each of the two games and I have to admit that I quickly passed my turn on GM while LL suits me better. Here I try to explain why I prefer the maneuverability of one over the other. This is just my opinion based on my experience. I don't pretend to be a mega super player who is always right and everyone has to agree with me. So I'm not trying to generalize the comparison on other points, it wouldn't make any sense. The 2 examples are to illustrate the difference that makes for me more fun playing one compared to the other.
  8. I just took the time this weekend to test the demo of the game via Steam under W10 on my VCS boosted to 16Gb of ram including 4 allocated to the GPU. The game works perfectly! So there's no reason why the game shouldn't run on AtariOS as long as you have 16gb of ram and enough space on the emmc or an external drive...My impressions of the demo: the game is beautiful, with slick graphics. The music that accompanies the various game screens is also well suited. In terms of handling, I put here 10/10! If I have to compare it to Gravitic Mines on a Jaguar, Lunar Lander is much more manoeuvrable! I was able to finish all the missions in the demo without too much trouble, and for good reason, what helps here is the ability to activate thrusters that stabilize us! In my opinion this is sorely lacking in Gravitic Mines. What's also very good is that there's a storyline as it's really great because it adds a depth to the game that the games in the Recharged series don't have.
  9. For Atari7800 the emulator is mame with the a7800 bios. I don't know if this bios allows you to run music in YM though. You'd have to ask David Paige.
  10. You have to follow this video : https://youtu.be/vbLFlIGg74I?si=wjcnfUqTwYhUsWHw It's in french but you can use the translator tool in YouTube's parameters.
  11. From what I understand, the problem is that even if you choose to install the game on an additional disk, the atarios will download the game to the emmc and then unzip it to the selected disk. However, between the download and the temporary files for decompression, you have to leave a lot of space on the emmc
  12. I've seen that. But who to believe? A journalist who says AtariVCS at the bottom of the page (did he copy and paste from another previous Atari game?) Or Atari ?
  13. Unfortunately still not the atarivcs logo that would confirm the release also on our machines.
