I know the CV Delta Board lacks the socketed chips, and the ADAM Logic Board has some chips that are socketed.

Hmmmmm. Okay, I think he has some of the replacement parts for the ADAM to replace.
I think he has some chips to replace for the ADAM Gamma Board (bottom board for the standalone ADAM), so I hope this'll fix the black screen problem.

I assume some of the socketed chips from the ADAM logic board need to be replaced, but I don't know where to find them.

William Hicks is a member on here. Send a PM to MilliV.
If only I could replace one of the boards to fix that stupid black screen problem or something.

What if MilliV doesn't respond?

Who is MilliV?
William Hicks is actually on the Facebook, but I don't have an account.
So MilliV is his Atariage account?

Do I have to replace both of them to save my ADAM?
So if it works, I have to re install the RGB mod, and if it works, I should put it back together.
BTW, I do not have a Facebook account.
-
eColeco site should have some replacement parts for the ADAM, but some of them aren't pictured.
RIP My ADAM
From the time I got it until it has the black screen problem, but I can't get it fixed. T_T

There's only so much we can do with a simple voltmeter, and it would likely take months of back and forth even if we could come up with things to test otherwise.
Alright, and I know it sucks.

I don’t know what to do.
Maybe it could be the DRAM chips or something. I am not sure.

40 minutes ago, NIAD said:As I stated in a previous message, your best option right now is to remove the TMS-RGB and BIOS mod and return the system to it’s original state as you received it when purchased. From there, proceed to testing everything in the steps I outlined.
If it doesn’t work, then you probably got a serious issue.
If it works, then that is a good thing and you can then reinstall the different mods you added like the BIOS mod and the TMS-RGB one at a time and test in between.
Ouch, that didn't work after I remove the TMS-RGB.
I am still mad about this issue, so I tried everything.

Unfortunately, I still have the same results while using the Apollo Power Supply. ;(

But I am not sure it will work better than the internal power supply mod, so maybe I should try it sometime.

Voltage check from the internal power supply
V3 (-5V) - -4.6V
+V2 (+12V) - +11.2V
+5V - +4.7V
I used the multimeter black probe to touch the COM on the supply while the red probe touches the V3, +V2, & +5V points.

I think the plastic cable is fine just because I've checked with all of the pins that are fine.
-
I think the internal power supply would've caused the ADAM to have black screen or something.
-
I checked all of the pins from the connector, and they're fine.

37 minutes ago, NIAD said:Hmm, what video output (RF, Composite - Aux or Monitor port on back of Adam, TMS-RGB) are you using for the EM#1 Atari expansion?
As I’m sure you know, this unit only uses power and video from the CV or Adam.
Aux Composite for Atari Module for Cole Adam.

6 hours ago, ChildOfCv said:Does either reset switch work? (in other words, can you reset into computer mode? Cartridge mode?)
It won’t while it still has the black screen issue. And at least the Atari expansion module works fine.

16 minutes ago, ChildOfCv said:Did you test to see if the original BIOS chip would still work?
I didn’t because of the black screen.

Just now, NIAD said:Did you check everything you did for a bad solder joint, short, lifted trace, etc. If you can’t find any, then I would say you’ll have to scope everything. One way or another, you got a lot of detective work ahead of you that I do not possess the skills to help you out with but others like ChildOfCV does.
I fixed some of the broken traces with using a conductive micro tip pen and some wires, and then I checked the connections with my multimeter, so they're fine.

Coleco Adam VDD case mod

That modification of the VDD looks interesting, but some of the parts from the video that I don't understand like connecting the power to turn on the VDD and the ADAM at the same time.
