  1. I think it's either Scott Orr any other American guy on the list. See what I did there?
  2. Tommy, congratulations for adding Andy Gavin, one of the founders of Naughty Dog and one of the co-creators of Crash Bandicoot, to your management team. Combining the existing talent with his unique vision, the Amico is unstoppable now.
  3. The Company Officers section is full of legends like Miyamoto, Molyneux, Romero and Sam Houser... If our man is also more a creator than a manager as Tommy suggested, he must be someone quite important. I'm starting to get Romero vibes all over the place.
  4. I just found out that the Space Quest 6 demo has a unique plot and puzzles that don't even appear on the game itself, and some time ago I discovered that the 1990 Monkey Island demo included in the demo disc Passport to Adventure, which also has Loom and Last Crusade regular demos, has its own puzzles too. Do you know if there are more demos like those? This could be a great way to discover that some of your favorite classic games have some "DLC" that you can enjoy as if it was new.
  5. I keep hoping for our man to be Romero, Carmack, one of the Spyro/Crash Bandicoot guys or the creator of the Sims, but I don't think they meet the necessary criteria.
  6. Tom Kalinske is 75. Some say 75 is the new 35, but... I think we're looking for a younger man.
  7. The thing with this guy is that he's the CEO of a very successful company. 🤑
  8. If @LePionnier is correct and our man is listed under Online Gaming, the only "young" one who's also American and who is not working right now is Dean Hall, creator of DayZ, but he was working about 6 years ago and he's too young to have played an Intellivision as a kid. IMPORTANT NOTE: A few of those creators, such as John Carmack, appear in several categories simultaneously.
  9. I think one key aspect that many of the persons proposed lack (including the ones I've brought up) is "how passionate he was about the entire concept behind Amico and how he's been banging the same drum since the 90's! (i.e. bringing people together and reaching a wider audience)". Many of the designers mentioned over the last pages have created mostly solitary gaming experiences and/or games for hardcores.
  10. And those guys were working very closely to Naughty Dog in the 90s, according to interviews. Both teams were inspiring each other. This is why I said that the mysterious man could be Andy Gavin, one of the Crash Bandicoot co-creators. Also, he did an Ars Technica video earlier this year and Tommy said he had "many friends" among the video game creators appearing in the series. Sadly, he's married (this sounds suspicious, but remember: our guy has a fiance, not a wife). By the way, i just found a Wikipedia page that shouldn't really exist but can be very helpful for our quest: List of video game industry people. Many of the names we've said are there.
  11. @RetroAdvisoryBoard Coincidentally, I am reading one of the Space Quest fake magazines and the jokes are just like that. If anyone reading this liked the message above and hasn't played Space Quest 4 or 5, do it. You won't regret it. Oh, and make sure you get a copy of the fake magazine that comes with each game.
  12. The topic feels like a Carmen Sandiego game now. Good job, Tommy! 🦸‍♂️
  13. I think "retired" can be interpreted as "retired from the video game business". 🤔
  14. I just watched the first Xbox Series X gameplay reveal. I honestly didn't see much difference with the current generation. These companies have clearly lost the wow factor that was such a big thing in the 80s, 90s and early 2010s. And this will be more of an issue with each new generation. Also, remember when video game news used to talk about the way a game plays instead of a sub-par The Walking Dead-ish story or how you can personalize your genitals? And yeah, I was a huge Sony fan from 1997 to 2007 but I don't get all the fuzz with The Last of Us. It looks like a decent movie, but... as a game? Do you really want to force yourself through another 3rd person shooter? I was tired of this genre after playing 10 minutes of Hitman in 2001. So yeah, back to the guessing game! Uh... Andy Gavin?
  15. Ouch! Yeah, that kind of leaves Peter Molyneux and any other European developers out. I think the key is that the original Intellivision inspired him to create "one of the most famous gaming products on the planet".
  16. Will Wright has been working on a mysterious new game called Proxi since 2016, so it can't be him.
  17. Yeah, I mean after that one (which was released about 10 years ago).
  18. By the way they talk about it, it should be someone more famous. Peter Molyneux has only worked on a couple of minor games in the last 10 years... Just saying.
  19. It looks like we will have several weeks to take guesses on who the new guy is. So please, try to think about some famous dude who used to do cool video games until 2010. NOW! We need to solve this riddle. 🧐
  20. He has already deleted the references to the VPN. Only the comments about the PMs with himself remain now. Good job! 😅 Hey @1001lives / @LordRayken, why don't you admit the truth, man? Oh and could you also explain to us why the frack have you done this? 🦸‍♂️🦸‍♂️
  21. And now for something completely different, 1001clones is using a Switch Borderlands thread on Reddit to try to convince TonyTGD that he was just using "the same VPN" as LordRayken (click "Continue this thread"). He also says he has been sending PMs to "himself" in AA and that proves they're 2 persons. 😐 I wanted to post this here because well, it sounds like a lie and I guess mods can confirm that. The guy will never admit it, it seems. That's the end of the story and I hope we can concentrate on the games now. Fortunately most new users are legit and today we found out about a cool board game thanks to one.
  22. Just so you are aware, RetroAdvisoryBoard and I are the same person. I noticed the other day looking at the mirror. My initial intention was writing interesting 20-line messages, but, aware of how people love the extremes these days, I ended up using this account to write 1-5 line messages and the other for 40-line messages. Just kidding! And by the way, he should come back soon with his new video. 🍸
  23. That crokinole game looks fun, thanks @Scrundle! I don't think it's very popular here in Spain. By the way, I accidentally found out some user in another message board with your nickname and also from Wales who's a female. If it's you, I'm sure you can give Tommy lots of cool ideas from a slightly different perspective as we've seen on this thread until now. 🖖
  24. @Blarneo The bald guy of my image on the previous page is from the movie Split.
