Hey @Relicgamer, your last message before the TonyTGD one is repeated. 🧐 But I think it's cool and extremely interesting that your 21 yo son loves the 80s and 90s rap metal. Here's an advice: show him some 1989-1994 MSDOS games (Lucasarts, Sierra, id Software, 3D Realms...). I want to believe young people turn retro because they actually prefer 1980-2000 creations. I mean, we didn't like the 60s so much when I was a kid. We were lucky to live those times as children/teenagers. 🤘

A couple of necessary revelations: - I apologize to @CurlyQ , he appeared just after @Guy was banned and I thought it was (another) troll. However, Guy was banned after I reported his account to the mods. He was the second account of one of the users banned from this thread. I don't know exactly who the actual user is, but, judging by the 40 line messages saying wonders about mobile games, assuming that Amico games are an expensive version of them, and the way he mocked @RetroAdvisoryBoard's message that (coincidentally) criticized modern games, it very well could be our Space Channel 5 friend. I assume the mods realized that two users were logged in with the same IP. This user created an account only to post in this topic and one of the first things he said was "Hey, remember when everyone was worried that Trump's tariffs for China were going to make Amico's price closer to that of a AAA console? And Tommy told everyone to chill da f* out". Yeah, you totally sound like a new user, bro. 😐 - A user who posted a single message (or very few messages) in the disaster that turned out to be the independent topic revealed this to me via PM when he accused some of the Amico haters in Atari Age of having an history of harassing people online over the years: I hope this helps clarify things so people can see the whole picture. 👍 We're dealing with mentally unstable people here, capable of harassing others for months. This drama is starting to become tiring, but there should be no doubt as to which side you should choose. Spoilers: not the taco one.

The Twitter guy seems nice. I mean, he probably has enough money to buy toys that he's not 100% sure he will like. He will probably learn that this is not an Ouya by himself. So yeah, he doesn't seem the same guy that used to come here and write 40 lines about how the Amico was a disaster "but you know I am on your side, Tommy". 😐 In any case, kids: Don't buy things you don't like. It's weird.

Hey guys, I just noticed that - The Intellivision has an awesome beach volley game: Spiker! Super Pro Volleyball - It was released in 1989 - One year earlier, in 1988, Kings of the Beach was released for MS-DOS. (This game was later ported to the C64 and the NES). - Both games are very similar! So my advice is: try both if you can, or at least try one of them if you only have one of those systems available. 👍 I have played Kings of the Beach for MS-DOS and is great, both as a single player game and with a friend. It's amazing that the Intellivision has a very similar game (with less advanced graphics).

Hmmm... @Flojomojo also used the derogatory term "b-list celebrity" to speak about Tommy on that Nintendo page... 🤔 In any case, the only thing we know for sure is that some people are spending hours of their lives on things they hate. I said it before, but it's time to repeat it: How lucky we are not to be affected by that strange mental illness. I absolutely hate online gaming, this new genre called MOBA and eSports, but I can't see myself joining some discussion to let everyone there know that they should be playing other games. Am I crazy? One of the problems with video games is that, like manga, they have attracted a lot of weird people. And I mean weird, mentally unstable. For many years, insecure people, including the younger version of me, have used them to achieve escapism. The Internet hasn't helped, with people spending more time debating about games than playing them. You won't see this things happen with movies, books, comics or music. This guy spent hours planning and writing that, only to have its topic closed 10 minutes later. The Amico haters are starting to look like the bad guys in the Hanna-Barbera cartoons.

When one of these fanatics approaches me with their message, I have a couple of defensive sentences that totally change the (intellectual) fight to my favor: "Why wasn't God able to have all countries worship the same religion?" and "Who created God?". This is, sadly, one of the main reasons people shape their ideology nowadays. The media has them believe crime is much more common than it actually is, so they become obsessed with security and totally forget about healthcare and other vital issues. The crisis we are living is partly due to that. Oh, yeah! Amico topic. Well, I confess I haven't watched a single minute of the last interview yet. And after reading the comments from the people here, I don't think I will.

Okay, so I've Got a Theory. It's the only explanation to Tommy's supernatural ability to answer every single question about the Amico from every single random person on the Internet, some of them with an obvious personal bias against him or the machine. It would also explain his lack of sleep: he only needs to recharge his batteries 4 hours a day. Tommy, freeze all motor functions. Analysis.

DOOM for Intellivision gameplay video
IntelliMission replied to Rev's topic in Intellivision / Aquarius
Well, a 2D version could probably be made. See Doom 2D and Romero & Carmack's Dangerous Dave 2. -
I wonder how the current crisis will affect the Amico. An euphoric state of mind after lifting the quarantine could help consumers buy more toys and consoles. 👍 The economic crisis could point consumers to the Amico instead of the more expensive consoles. 👍 But, as RetroAdvisoryBoard pointed out (even if he was kidding), I'm not sure if people will be too keen about spending "more time playing with their family" after months and months trapped in their houses with them. 👎 I hope touching things is legal again by October 10 so people can try the machine without wearing special equipment. 🤞
