Photoshop 3.0.4, "Unsharp Mask". Then I used Ulead's Smartsaver Pro to export to a nice JPG. I had to crank up the colour quality more than normal because the orange and red weren't doing well.

That avatar's a bit fuzzy, try this one.

Personally? Double Dragon for the 2600. I bought a 2600 specifically for that game, after playing the PC version for yonks. From memory, I played Dig-Dug for a while before buying a multi game pack with River Raid. Made up for it somewhat.

Time zones are going to screw me up, so I'll make it relative to the time of this post. Off-topic in 12 hours time. That's 13/6 22:40 Perth time, 13/6 14:40 GMT/UTC and god only knows what it is in mountain summer time or whatever.

Climber 5 Label Contest - Winner Selected!
krisjohn replied to Albert's topic in AtariAge Sponsored Contests
I've been searching everywhere for inspiration. This is inspired by the baseball stuff popping up in Jay Leno's monologue at the moment... -

Still plenty of time. Some of us haven't had a weekend to work on it yet... -

30 loose 2600 carts, including about a dozen 2-pak specials - A$15 Saturn stuff - Mouse A$5, Big joystick, A$5, Datel Action Replay Pro A$5, Multitap A$5 SNES cheat and region bypass system - A$5. Only thing I've tested so far is the joystick, with Panzer Dragoon, and it works. -

I still have one, which is why I didn't bother with this one. I recently picked-up a new "scannerz" (or similar) barcode-based game. It's awful, don't waste your money. -

As a buyer I got in and out without being rained on, but numbers were way down. Most interesting thing I spotted was a boxed Barcode Battlers game. I only picked up a soft plastic space shuttle. -

I picked up Myer Borragoon's last four N64s for A$69 each over a year ago. I've shifted a couple. Today I passed on two Atari ST titles (one looked like a strip poker game !?) and Frogger for the 2600, but I did get about 30 video games magazines from the late 80s, early 90s, A$10 the lot. My mother added another Monopoly game to her collection. A Pokemon version slightly different from the one she already had. -
I've just been surfing the 'Net for a place with a wish list service that ships interesting stuff to Australia and there doesn't actually appear to be one. Any chance that the AA Store could gain a wish list feature?

Who would you blame? Just kidding. I think we've probably shaken all the problems out of the label competitions. From memory, the last one ran smooth enough. Can't remember which one it was though...

I have never seen a secondhand Namco Museum in any store ever and I've looked hard. I'm glad I picked up #2 new. -
They're all songs. For the next competition Dave will ask us to guess the number he's thinking of between 1 and a million. (And it will be -3.)

Not a bad weekend: * Atari 1040STe - A$2. Works. * Radio Shack TRS-80 - A$8. Works * Gameboy Printer - A$25 (not as good a deal, but these are hard to find.) Works but the paper is treated to go dark on impact, so the old paper in the printer is a bit crappy. I've got a pack of three rolls somewhere... -
You know, the 5200 wasn't even released in Australia, so it's like there's this big round black thing in front of me with a big 8 on it...

483,000 Assuming 199,000 for the first level, 45 bars in the second level and the other bits worth the same again.

I guessed that S?O?? was SCORE and just started looking for score-related trivia. I never thought I'd get that close.

Knees, teeth... Hey Carl, I think Ben wants you to knee him in the teeth!

Almost nothing this weekend (local storms kept people in). * SimCity 2000 for the Sega Saturn, PAL - A$10 * 1986 Transformers toy car (pull-back action) A$0.50 There was a boxed original model SMS, but I've already got about 4 working SMS decks, I didn't need another one. Other than that an assortment of boring NES and Megadrive carts. My mother found a nice Arabia tea set. Brown glaze. Instead I spent a heap of time sorting out the storeroom -- particularly because its not supposed to just be a storeroom and it was getting pretty packed. -
Sorry, I meant "Alan Hewston".
