  1. Okay, that's wrong. I haven't quite sorted out the logic of the code and there's one letter in the answer that isn't in the question. Hopefully I'll get a chance to guess again before anyone else works it out...
  2. Is "Billboard" some big thing in North America?
  3. Saw one of these in Belmont this morning -- is that where you scored it? All I picked up was a boxed NES Game Genie with code book.
  4. And those of us in vastly different time zones appreaciate it greatly. Thanks!
  5. Works for me too. A random drawing of everyone with the correct answer -- it's like every morning kids TV competition ever.
  6. You really haven't read the instructions have you? You get one guess. That's it. See you in a week.
  7. That's not how this one works. We all guess until the deadline, then a random winner is chosen from all the people that guessed right. If nobody guesses right by then I suppose it's some sort of sudden death thing.
  8. Yesterday, swap-meet: A$3: Nintendo Game & Watch, Greenhouse. With box, foam, instructions, bag, warranty, battery compartment stickers, ie: Complete! Haven't actually tested it yet though. A$3 is about US$1.80.
  9. sdstuff -- at least only include files that are the right dimensions...
  10. I meant to post this yesterday. The cart has arrived. Thanks for a great competition! Can't wait for your (or any) label compo.
  11. sd doesn't get to be the only one off topic...
  12. Does that mean I can run NTSC carts in my PAL 7800? I should have got a bunch from O'Shea back when they were cheap.
  13. What about the encryption? I thought that US 7800 software had to be encrypted and PAL software had to not be encrypted. How would a menu work in this environment?
  14. Can you get them out of sync, like that old video effect -- each one a frame behind the one in front of it?
  15. How will it handle PAL/NTSC? Specifically, will it work in a PAL 7800? BTW: I like the price, especially seeing that I have an MMC reader/writer and spare 32MB card.
  16. Two tech-y ones with your name in them.
  17. I don't know if anyone else has one like this...
  18. I found a cool reference on bOINGbOING this morning about someone who does pictures using Rubik's Cubes. Here's an avatar if you're interested.
  19. Very cool tool. For anyone that's interested I did a Halloween version using a list of 163 Halloween words and the Pac Man Ghost. It's here: http://members.optusnet.com.au/~kris_j/hallowhang.zip
  20. If that was the Telethon swapmeet, I was stuck at work! (got two days off before xmas instead). December's was rained out, there isn't one in January, Feb's was rained out and March was on a public holiday I didn't get. Sigh. If you've got a non-working C64 I could really do with the SID chip for my Catweasel MK3...
  21. I've got something like a 105 game GB multicart that's the same 7 games repeated 15 times. Without proof of the exact number of unique titles, they aren't worth the risk.

  23. The registration form is too invasive. Anyone got a fake registration they feel like sharing? If not, I'll make something up and post login details...
