Oh, well, I'll post this one anyway...

Heh, "BvM Productions" looks like Bum Productions in low res.

Drat, I just found the post that said 1.19MHz was out.

Nice idea!

Hey Lord of the Sprites, your pixel's on fire.

Or the GBC version, or Tetris Attack for the GB. Or, when it comes down to it, any Tetris game, any Tetris clone or any Tetris varient, including Baku Baku for the Saturn and Rampage Puzzle Attack for the GBA.

Tech reference to the 2600... 1.19 MHz Industries

How about a recursive acronym? YOTE Old-fashioned Television Entertainment

I have got to catch up with these developments. Can anyone post a working link to a couple of demo ROMs? And Andrew, any chance you can extend the free 4k ROM to anyone owning any physical Qb cart? I bought one from Hozer a while back when I also grabbed a copy of my Gunfight label entry. (It subsquently featured in two of my Qb label contest entries. I'm still interested in turning my second place into the regular label BTW.) So, what size of image should we submit? Or what should the ratio of width to height be?

One good technique for a catchy name is to include a colour. (Also a good thing to include in an easy-to-remember password.) As such, I present... The Cyan Coyote Project

In keeping with the RPM theme... Rotate Right Games

Now that I've read through all the entries in more detail, I'd have to say that naming your company/business after your first, or first major, production is a very good idea. Worked for THX.

My mother enjoyed Nyet back in the day. Now she's addicted to Popcap titles. Both of which are my fault, though the Penny Arcade crew are also to blame for introducing Popcap into my house. I wish I could encourage her to try Chu Chu Rocket, but it's just too fast.

"The theme, from a summer place, is the theme from a summer place, which is the theme, from a summer place. It's the theme...". NEXT!

The editiorial in the current www.retrogamingradio.com show discusses copy protection at length (from a historical more than technical perspective). Download the show and have a listen. There's been a bit of a discussion on the forums too...

I love the level with the tree that grows. Mine's very tactical, I wish I'd done something more organic...

This weekend I picked up: * A 6-switch woody with a dozen common games + a HES pack and Donkey Kong. Untested. (paid too much) * A Nintendo Game and Watch: Mario Brothers. No sound. (A$5) * A Sinclair Spectrum ZX with Interface 1, a Microdrive, four tapes and a joystick adapter (not Interface 2). Can't get a stable picture. (A$3) * An original 8-bit SoundBlaster. This is for my Amstrad PC-20 I found recently. Untested. (A$5) -
I bought a "Harder Drive" by Joytech when I got my PS2. http://www.joytech.net/product.asp?id=44 Unfortunately it's the parallel port version and it needs to be plugged into a PC and a PS2 at the same time to function. When (if) I re-arrange my equipment I'll be able to hook it up permanently. It functions as avertised though and effectively negates the need to ever buy more than one memory card.

Just for reference, I did. Came out very stripey though.

It's very easy to setup a new eBay account. The apparent age of any given account is not an indicator of the user's experience with eBay. -
Wonderful! I have some ideas already.
