I like this idea. Make posting to the eBay forum only available to subscribers, then block any post with "ebay.com" anywhere in the body from the other forums. Subscriptions to AA could be $25/year. The site should pay for itself in no time. (Personally, I don't buy from eBay anymore. I find much more enjoyment trying to find stuff locally at swap meets, garage sales, charity shops, pawnbrokers...)

Check the postmark. That's what I had to do when I had an otherwise unmarked postal order of the same amount as several auctions. (Maybe it's worth having starting prices that differ by only a cent each time just to reduce the probability of two auctions closing at the same amount.)

A "mockup" is like the print or graphics design equivalent of a prototype. A mockup is usually a visual aid or prop used in early presentations. Killer Satellites. I've only played it once or twice but I recall that it was better (easier) than Defender. Though purists may say that it's not frantic enough. Flash Gordon has Defender-esq qualities and it's pretty enjoyable. Have you played the original Gameboy Defender port? Funky in a Super Gameboy. (Ooo, that reminds me, I must lookup the TV adapter for the GBA...)

Double Dragon? The SMS version is an awful conversion, and I've played the 2600 version so I know what I'm talking about. I don't know that I can find many really enjoyable games for either the SMS or the NES. Yet I enjoy Atari 2600 games and Mega Drive and SNES games. Strange. Rampage seemed okay from what I remember.

Since the Supercharger has only 6k of RAM (I hope that's right) even the three part games are only 18k.

I went to the large monthly swap meet last Sunday, but it got a little rained out. All I found was a SuperVision 8-in-1 and a couple of Japanese NES games (+ a couple of family convertors). And that spider-thing I used in my first Haunted House II 3-D label. There was some SNES stuff I passed on.

I stopped selling stuff on eBay when I got a full-time job. Mostly because the amount of time buyers were consuming was insane, but also because costs were making the interesting stuff not worth bothering about. I have a spare PAL one if anyone in Australia cares. Power cable ever so flakey, otherwise fine. No box. I'm happy to ship international, but postage will be around A$30. Also, the power supply has Australian pins.

I have the game, but I'd be hard pushed to tell you how much its worth. I paid quite a bit for it because I got it from an expensive store back when I'd only just found a MegaCD. I can tell you that it's unfairly bundled in with the FMV games when most people talk of its quality. It's basically an Afterburner style game but with a (3D rendered) FMV background, which works really well.

If nothing else I think the 2600 forum needs to stay a little more on-topic. EG: Talking vaguely about "thrifts" is not what the 2600 forum is for. Possibly marketplace...

Maybe rather than "Modern" or "Classic", the other forums should be split into 70s, 80s, 90s and Beyond 2000. Based on the date the console was first released. That would get around the 8-bit vs 16-bit vs 32-bit vs 64-bit vs 128-bit issue.

Thanks. I'm not sure what I should do about PAL v's NTSC, but I already intended to include hacks and homebrews. It'll take me a few weeks to sort out the tracks for each of the 6 CDs, then I have no idea how long it will take to find someone who can produce the packaging I want. I will keep people informed.

I found an 8-in-1 SuperVision cart. I've confirmed it contains: * Beany Bopper * Flash Gordon * Laser Gates * Crack Pots * Word Zapper There's a soccer game I'm looking up at the moment. Then there's a game with a castle and things that fly from side to side and another that plays a bit like Missile Command, but with some sort of shield and with large rockets being launched on each side. Switches are a bit worn though. A$3.

Hey, it takes a while to get all the props together. Also, 300DPI and a 266MMX with 64MB of RAM don't mix very well. Now I need some batteries for my second entry... Anyone got some Red-Blue 3D glasses drifting around?

Wonderful. That's another major step towards a CCU rerelease. I'll order an 8cm labelling kit next. BTW: Anyone know how may CC's were made? Also, I assume all the sub-6k ROMs' audio files also work on a Supercharger. Just getting a feel for the size this project might grow to...

One you won, or one you bought?

Finally, someone else who likes the 32X. It's my favourite bit of gaming hardware. Not for the games, but for the shear complexity. I've got a complete Mega Drive II, Mega CD II, 32X rig at home. Huge. Virtua Fighter is superb on it. Its version of Doom is smoother than the Saturn version, though much lower res.
