  3. The exterior is in bad physical condition, I admit, but it seemed to work OK when I tested it a few months ago. If I get at least one bidder [and if I have the time before the auction ends], I will re-test and post at least one more photo. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...em=190297319605
  4. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...em=190293547689 The bidding presently starts at $15 with a flat $15 shipping fee.

  6. All originals in original boxes with original disks and instructions. I have tested the games to make sure they still work, at least as far as loading up to the initial playable state. Lots of click-to-zoom photos on the eBay page. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...em=190279006593
  7. … F-15, F-29, Battle of Britain, all with original disks and manuals, recently tested to boot on a real Atari; boxes for F-xx games included, box for BoB available at extra charge [because it`s big]. Please see here. Cheers!
  8. Both in excellent condition, both recently tested to boot up on an actual ST. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...em=190273300955

  11. Hi everybody. I am selling some rare-ish Intellivision add-ons on eBay. 10-cent starting bid, no reserve, $18 priority shipping anywhere in the USA for each item. Working Mattel Intellivision ECS Computer Adaptor: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...em=190182515251 Working Mattel Intellivision ECS Computer Keyboard: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...em=190182509588 These are neither new nor boxed, but they do work. A power supply is not included with the ECS, but since it's just 9VAC 1A an Atari power supply for an 800, 1200XL, or an 8-bit disk drive will work [i used it like that myself; the tip fits OK]. Please note: 9V _AC_, _not_ DC! - Abe
  12. It`s a done deal - the 5200 is out the door.
  13. Hi folks. To make a long story short, I have in my possession an Atari 5200 (4-port, not physically broken) that needs some TLC (no power supply/RF switchbox, built-in cable damaged at end). I know you 5200 collectors are out there, and I`m sure at least some of you have the skill to bring this unit back into good condition. If you want this unit, just let me know your mailing address (e.g. if you have a PO box, give me that), with the ZIP code, so I can check the shipping cost, so I will know how much you should send me for the shipping (a personal check would be fine, as long as it doesn`t bounce). I am in New York City, ZIP code 11104. That`s all for now, Abe
  14. Re "Richard H."`s avatar graphic: What is that wierd pic of a guy (looks like he`s sitting in a blue jumpsuit)? Is that from some TV show from the 1980's? If so, which one? Far out!
  15. Your wife is a GODDESS! May I marry her too? (wink) Seriously, though... I want one of those Jaguar dust covers, plus I would love one for my 7800... With an appropriate design saying "7800" on it, of course! While you/she are at it, how about 600XL/800XL/1200XL dust covers? The Atari brown ones are boring, and probably wouldn`t cost much less than some nice new ones. Besides, buying old Atari stock (even if "new", i.e. unopened) on eBay etc. only supports scoundrels (like myself!) who collect stuff and then sometimes sell some of their collections off; this way purchases support the _active_ Atari community - of which your wife is now a member! Wow - a woman that actually _helps_ her man with her hobby, instead of complaining about it. What a catch! Does she have a sister - single, I mean? (wink again) Please let me know (via PM) about the covers... I will pay for them, if possible, after I pay off my current eBay wins.
  16. Two versions of the game? Which two versions?
  17. Just out of curiosity, and I hope it`s not rude to ask: how much did you get?
  18. Are you interested enough that I should weigh this stuff and give you a shipping estimate? Also, do you want the games? If maybe, then I will take them out of the closet and list them for you.
  19. I have original CyberPaint + CAD-3D disks _and_ manuals in a nice binder. Let me know if you want it. Be prepared to pay, although I will be quite reasonable.
  20. Where did you get that cute little 800XL toy? Did someone make it for you?
  21. Cheapest (easiest?) 520 upgrade: 512KB->1MB by soldering on chips, piggy-back style. Best 520 upgrade: get a RAM board that accepts chips, then solder _that_ to the inside of the 520. Check out Best (http://www.best-electronics-ca.com/) and B&C (http://myatari.com/) for boards.

  23. Why was he in bad luck? The link was dead on eBay`s site by the time I checked it. Anyway, to the creator of the thread: I have an Atari 1040STF with mouse and Practical Peripherals modulator I would be willing to trade. My location is in New York, ZIP code 11104; what`s yours? Oh, and I almost forgot: I have lots of ST games on floppy disk, mostly still with the boxes and instr.s

    7800 crash?

That the cartridges and boxes are not marked as to their NTSC/PAL status does not surprise me in the least. Atari was pretty lax about that; they assumed that wherever they sold the item would be where it stayed, or at least within a close geographic region, which usually means still NTSC/still PAL. As far as I can tell, third-party game manufacturer`s followed Atari`s lazy lead. Bah humbug. The best way I know of right now to ensure that you are attempting to run PAL games is to acquire a Cuttle Cart 2 (expensive, but from what I hear, worth it if you have the money to spare), and then download only PAL files into the device. You can check the NTSC/PAL status of the ROM dumps using either a seperate ROM organizing program, or even with MESS (the emulator). As for the built-in game crashing, I think that is more cause for concern. I would have a competent electronics engineer check out (first) the power supply (a notorious source of trouble for Ataris) and (second, if the first doesn`t solve the problem) the capacitors on the 7800`s motherboard. Goed geluk!
  25. Thanks guys. If anyone reading this has a dead, but physically OK Atari light gun, please send me a PM. This isn`t resolved yet.
