  1. Looks like I got a bot of work ahead of me.. lol Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  2. Meaning whatever I can rework, I will. If anyone here is interested in giving pointers I would not begrudge them. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  3. As much as I can. I cannot sink any additional funds into them except for some retrobrite. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  4. Here's some more meat.if anyone has a link or knows someone in Sacramento CA that is a Macaddict , lemme know thanks! Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  5. Hopping over from the TI-99 forums .. found this and 3 IGs with a Mac monitor for $20. Haven't had time to test em yet but will keep you all posted. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  6. I saw a title tage that stated they were looking for an Altair 8800... I found a listing here if anyone is interested. https://sacramento.craigslist.org/sys/d/sacramento-mits-altair-8800-computer/6985105701.html
  7. I finally acquired the speech synth. And it looks like it was never used. Almost have the code down for the teensy 2.0 usb connection. Thanks to the 2 other Matthews (Jedimatt42 and Matt Epler). If I can get the interface to work for the S.S. ... might be able to utilize it AND the keyboard for the RPI. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  8. I just acquired the Speech Synthesizer and have been looking for a way to control it directly from the RPI. I am assuming that it is going to be a direct connection to the GPIO. Trying to see if anyone else has already done it but I actually went 2 pages deep in the google search, without luck. I will keep searching and share my findings, if any, here. 9. Well, as with a lot of postings that I am finding nowadays... Buyer beware. I did just get a Speech Synthesizer for $20 with shipping. Whether or not it works has yet to be seen. I will keep you all posted. and if I can do the Power Pass through I more than likely will. I don't understand why (probably because I did not dig deep enough) power does not pass through the SS to other peripheral sidecars. I am very fortunate to have a legacy games dealer around the bend from my house. I was able to get one of the WICO Joysticks which worked out well
  10. So my son who cannot stand or sit still was doing his little dance near the TI. I told him to move or he would be moved. I love him dearly but I see the klutz in me, in him. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  11. That's what I said when I openned my TI LOL Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  12. Not sure if this helps but I was trolling through ebay and found these. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Texas-Instruments-Top-Shell-Outer-Frame-Silver-Chrome-1039020-for-TI-99-4A/383032808612?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649 https://www.ebay.com/itm/Texas-Instruments-Bottom-Shell-Outer-Frame-Black-1039021-for-TI-99-4A/383033269320?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649
  13. Oh for anyone trying to get a replacement AV cable. I bought mine at a brick and mortar store. Sega Genesis Replacement cable. I think I paid $8 for it. Here is a link to a cheaper one : https://www.amazon.com/Mizar-Replacement-Sega-Genesis-Standard-Cable/dp/B002FY0CM0?th=1
  14. It's surprisingly easy. I had my doubts at first but after taking a leap of faith ... works just fine. I agree. It is. With the removal of the original power board, there is a LOT of space right up front. In truth, there is a lot of space in there, in general.
