I just asked my wife to produce a shirt using the TI logo for me personally. Would any of you be interested in something like that. If so, what would you want it to say? And what price would you put to it? $15? $20? Thoughts, comments, threats, criticism please

Hello all,
So does anyone have experience programming a FG99? If so what did you use? My brain hurts from the weekend and I am missing neural connections somewhere. Did you use a RPI to program it? bout to try this out on my 3B+.

41 standard solar cycles hereNames are in style at different times. (How many Susan's do you know who are less than 60 years old?)
https://nameberry.com/babyname/Matthew
"The name suddenly became very popular in the U.S. in the 1960s, with Matts appearing on many Western (e.g., Gunsmoke's Marshall Matt Dillon) and other TV shows."
Are all the Matts about the same age?

Ok, so I scored a tape program recorder for 15 + shipping. The motor works for it. Haven't tried it put yet. I also picked up a bunch of wrapped D90 blank tapes. The new 4/a came with the program recorder connection. Can I dub programs onto the tapes from computer or ?
What would you do with it?

This may do. ... all going to the "FinalFlash" project I got going... this project has morphed somewhat, but will still try and find a use for ye olde Pocketmate.Got the serial cable? You could type programs on the PDA, import them to a PC using the serial cable, and then paste them into the TIPI.

Love these systems though

For me it is about cash... I have to be 2nd hand until I find a job that pays better. I tried turning in my bachelor's degree for a refund on my student loans ... cause it doesn't work...While getting that old dog to do new tricks is wortwhile in and of itself, if you are looking for something to do TI 99/4A emulation in a compact form factor, consider a GPD WIN.

I will open it and find out. If it isn't looks like rpi is the only way

Or ( since we cant "Honey I shrunk the TI") have this usable to code with. I was thinking a RPI that could update code to a TIPI or somesuch. Open to all

I will post a listing here of all the tech from that haul. Unfortunately, no PCjr. Or Tandy 1000.. However I did get Zilog Z80's and some 16k and 32k (not sure if RAM or ROM, haven't read up) chips. I was looking for a schematic for the TRS-80 mobo see if I could recreate it using smaller paths.Believe it or not, if you have an old PCjr in your haul of retrotech, I would be interested in appropriating it.
While the TI holds that slot for most people here, that awful foray into the consumer marketplace of the jr is where my first computer experiences came from, and for me, holds the most early nostalgia. I have often contemplated creating an EMS memory module for the cartridge slots. (The slot hardware is NOT writable; there is no WE line exposed there. However, there are TWO slots, and each one is 64kb in size. More than enough for a cartridge ROM based EMS routine that treats reads at a special memory address it owns as a signal to trip write enable on a sram module, and to move the window of the second slot around so it can function as a page frame)
I have some pretty great memories of playing KQ1 with tandy 3 voice sound. I might just opt for a tandy 1000 instead though, if you have one of those.

On 12/10/2019 at 6:25 AM, OLD CS1 said:I have an Axil 320, SparcStation 20 clone, running as a DNS server which I am just waiting for this to happen. I guess I could beat it to the punch and program a new one.
What hardware are you looking for? I recently got a stockpile of PC's I might have what you need if you give me a Manufacturer and Model #.

Well building a FinalFlasher. Rpi Zero 1.3 which will be viewed from an Asus Zen pad. This makes it portable. GPIO for flashing. Can use android if needed. Have a bluetooth keypad which emulates mouse and keyboard. And I didn't have to buy anything for this one as the components were already here. Yay.

Sorry been working on this windows 95 system for too long, trying to get this Teac to recognize properly. LolI would be happy to send you a Teac with the serial cable.
What model would you like.... derp Teac is 5.25.... is there a 3.5" drive that would work with your setupSent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk

I would be happy to send you a Teac with the serial cable.Normally I would be happy to, but I have no means of reading it at this time.

I have some Teac's I got recently but haven't tested yet .. I'll jump on that tonight see what I can do.I have TI floppy controller and one Myarc HFDC. But all my floppy drives don’t work. Except for a 3.5” DSK3 from Texin Treasures.
I had 2 external DSK1/2 from the CorComp 9900 MPES until 1 died. 2 lived on with Cryoflux , but now refuses to work in the PBOX. It’s jumpered at DSK1.
(I/O error 06, device error)
I am in need of floppy drives.
I was given 3 new old stock IBM PC (5150) drives but those are single sided.

If you could please send me the data off that I would be most grateful. I got some z80 chips recently.Shit, I used to have a small collection of PC 1.44 drives. I tossed them out to save closet space... I think.... Let me dig.
Nope, just have a single one that I intend to keep. I *DID* find a hilariously old original TRS80 DOS2.0/BASIC 5.25 diskette of unknown utility though in a disk file storage box.

Programming a Finalgrom99
in TI-99/4A Computers
Posted
Sorry Mixed up my connections
----- GND | 0 0 | ? ? | 0 0 ? 3.3v | 0 0 | ? -----I have read over the github for this : https://github.com/endlos99/finalgrom99
I cannot figure out what the other pins are. If you have a direction you can point me in, no matter if it makes me look stupid or naive, I don't care. If I can pin this out I should have a working FG99 soon. I would rather look foolish and have a working FG99, than no FG99. (money was a factor in my decision to make my own)
Thank you kindly in advance.
