  1. Don't you know? It's only possible on PlayStation 3.
  2. ...gaming history. There is a topic about this console already.
  3. Super Mario Galaxy, Mario & Luigi: Partners In Time, New Super Mario Bros. and Mario Vs. DK: March Of The Minis are lame games? Mario is light years ahead of Sonic in both coolness and game quality. You know, milking of a franchise doesn't invalidate the actually good games.
  4. Over here the NES, SMS and MegaDrive all came in 1992 (previously it was all home computers) and the NES quickly fell behind thanks to better marketing by Sega. I never owned a NES until recently (was more of a SNES person) but having played the "best" games for it on emulators and having the physical console itself, I can say, apart from the good Nintendo titles and some third party titles, the NES sucked, specially the console itself. I never understood the NES magic, it's all nostalgia so I cannot relate to something I didn't live but I think the home computers offered cheaper games and more imaginative games at the time, with the exception of Nintendo's own games of course.
  5. Castlevania 3 Castlevania 2 Super Mario Bros. 2 Japan Double Dragon Megaman.
  6. Alien (C64) (SMB came before 1984 in the Famicom I think) Mappy Phoenix.
  7. I think the 3D Mario games are the best modern platformers in the market today, so much more imaginative than the others in my opinion. I look foward to the next one with an open mind .
  8. To me it's still a console because its hardware is primarily made to run games, as opposed to a PC. A PC from 2005 can't run Halo, yet an Xbox from 2001 will, that's my point. Plus they're cheaper and don't have Windows to consume resources.
  9. Love him and his games, although I wish Nintendo makes something different like SMB2 for a change. Galaxy was good but frustrating at times, 64 is still the best 3D one and SMW the best 2D one in my opinion.
  10. It looks fun but DAMN those particle effects, there's no need for more stuff to distract us from enemy fire. For example, why must the homing shots leave a trace of smoke? Sorry but this gets on my tits.
  11. PS1/Saturn Doom, the best. And Doom 3 could have been better.
  12. PS1/Saturn Doom, the best. And Doom 3 could have been better.
  13. PSP Go is not a PSP2, so I'm not interested in it. In fact, it looks like a downgrade from the 3000 and it's ugly. My PSP 3000 has the glossy paint worn out on the back and a little peeled off on the sides. It's a handheld, it goes in pockets, I shouldn't have bought the glossy model then. The screen is intact though. A Play Gear Pocket could have been useful, or if Sony had launched a normal black model... I'll probably buy a decalgirl skin or new back and faceplates.
  14. No, I don't want them to either. The industry is fine without them in the console business.
  15. Me too, love the trilogy. The pulse rifle in the second shot looks so badass! One thing I find dissapointing is the lack of detail in the aliens themselves, they used the Alien: Resurrection aliens as a model, so they have a less bio-mechanical look to them.
  16. I'm not sure I understand you...why would you not want vertical aiming? Because the Dreamcast controller is not apt for a game that requires free look, and not everyone has a keyboard and mouse.
  17. I'm curious about this one, it would be good if there was no vertical aiming (Quake Arena for DS won't have it too).
  18. Yes, Yes, YES! By Rebellion! I still hope Aliens: Colonial Marines comes out.
  19. LED based TVs. Seriously, they're amazing. Contrast and speed are brilliant, plus they're thin.
  20. Atari Lynx I NES SNES N64 Gamecube GBA SP GB Micro Game Boy Game Boy Pocket Nintendo DS Lite PSP PsOne PsTwo Dreamcast Xbox 360. Not a console, but I have a ZX Spectrum +2 with a faulty TV tuner.
  21. I've now beaten SoR1 with all characters and having gone further with Adam, I say he's the worst because of his slowness, this greatly affects some boss strategies I have and ironically, Axel was the one I didn't lose continues with, maybe out of luck. I consider Final Fight superior but less playable than SoR. It is very, very hard and as such I can't stand the console versions (excluding the compilations, gotta get the one for PSP with FF) because of the limited continues, though I like the Mega CD's FF soundtrack.
  22. I take back what I said, at least for the levels after 3-4. I played SoR 1 for Mega CD and played SoR 2 more extensively and god, SoR 2 sucks badly. Stupid bosses that are nothing like that of SoR 1's or Final Fight's and they're hard to hit, plus you can't change direction during a jump . Besides the graphics and music, there's nothing to come back to. SoR 1 can be actually be pretty fun, as anyone besides Axel. I can't beat Hardest with him, he simply sucks compared to Blaze or Adam.
  23. SOR2 is fun and far better than the craptastic disaster that was the first game.
