1. Thanks for help and comments. So far I can identify the following games from the screenshot I find at AA: Cracker pet -> Crackpots by Activision Daimon attack -> Demon attack by Imagic Doogeem -> Dodge'em by Atari Inca Gold -> Spider Maze by K-Tel Spaidder fight -> Spider Fighter by Activision Since the colors on my TV (PAL) are wrong, I suggest they are all NTSC carts. Sea Houck -> Seahawk by Sancho Looks like PAL. I still have no idea what kind of game Sparker Gardon is, any further hints?
2. Hy there, got a couple of carts recently, think they are all PAL. From the database (especially the PAL one) they look like Zellers games, although only some titles are listed and some other titles are sort of strange. Can anyone tell me anything about these? Are these common pirates, or what? Car race Cracker pet Daimon attack Doogeem Inca Gold Sea Houck Spaidder fight Sparker Gardon In addition, Sparker Gardon (looks like Turmoil in AA database) and Inca Gold (looks like Earth Attack in AA and like Spaker Gardon in the PAL database) have another main label beneath the one on top, any suggestions why someone would put another main label above the original one?
3. Ah, and you may want to add this style of Atari Midnight Magic (red label with wrong cut): http://www.xenophobe.de/atari/midnight_magic.html
4. Some new scans for your PAL-database (and add Cosmic swarm): Activision Kung-fu Master (special?): http://www.xenophobe.de/atari/kung-fu_master.html Bomb Wall Defender (Scan): http://www.xenophobe.de/atari/wall_defender.html CBS Donkey Kong Junior (Scan): http://www.xenophobe.de/atari/donkey_kong_junior.html CBS Schtroumps (o.k. its SECAM ...): http://www.xenophobe.de/atari/schtroumpfs.html CBS Solar Fox (Scan): http://www.xenophobe.de/atari/solar_fox.html CBS Zaxxon (Scan): http://www.xenophobe.de/atari/zaxxon.html CommaVid Cosmic Swarm aka. 5. Are you sure this is a PAL cart? And if so, where did you get it? Cheers, Raymond 895608 Got it from ebay france. I am not absolutely sure, but it play fine on my PAL console and PAL TV ...
6. No http://www.xenophobe.de/atari/Scans/defender_p3_end.jpg http://www.xenophobe.de/atari/Scans/pac_man_p2_end.jpg Another question: if the games should have looked as 'original' as possible, why did they use a totally different cart with grips on sides and horizontal groves on back?
7. Its definitly not the scan, if you want I can do one with a higher resolution. I think Kr0tki is right with his explanation. While looking through my older carts I recognized that I have the above mentioned Pac-Man cart! And, o wonder, it also says ATRRI, INC., see http://www.xenophobe.de/atari/Scans/pac_man_p2_front.jpg Also, the line indicating the Pac-Man license does not start with a * but just with a dot, if you compare with http://www.xenophobe.de/atari/Scans/pac_man_p3_front.jpg it seems to be quite different. So probably both were pirates?!
8. Thanks. I'll add that one to the PAL section. Please let us know if you have anymore PAL re-releases. 893245 Already in your list, but PAL as far as I know Pac-Man 1986 Correct Small Black Yes http://www.xenophobe.de/atari/Scans/pac_man_p_front.jpg So far (for the moment) 893777 How confident are you that Pac-Man and Video Pinball are PAL? I want to be careful and not add inaccurate information to the list. 893874 I just have the carts, no box, no manual. But I do have other Pac-Man and Video-Pinball carts indicating PAL (with P on end label). When playing both Pac-Man and Video-Pinball on a PAL console and PAL television, I do not notice any difference to the PAL carts ...
9. Dear all, I recently got hold of this Defender label variant: http://www.xenophobe.de/atari/Scans/defender_p3_front.jpg A similar cart for Pac-Man is listed as Black-p ©1981, E: "p" printed on the right, C: grips on sides and horizontal groves on back, C2 The defender cart also has grips on sides and horizontal groves on back and is of C2-style. I am wondering about the two typos: 1981 ATRRI, INC. instead of 1981 ATARI, INC. and Electronies instead of Electronics Any ideas whether this is some strange pirate or any other reasons for the errors in the label?
10. Thanks. I'll add that one to the PAL section. Please let us know if you have anymore PAL re-releases. 893245 Already in your list, but PAL as far as I know Pac-Man 1986 Correct Small Black Yes http://www.xenophobe.de/atari/Scans/pac_man_p_front.jpg So far (for the moment)
11. You may add/correct: Video Pinball 1985 Correct Small White Yes All Lwrcase. Art is Zoomed+Cropped http://www.xenophobe.de/atari/video_pinball.html (I think it's PAL)
12. Thanks for that list! Love to see more on other styles, too. Concerning PAL style carts, here are a few: Basketball 1987 Omitted Small Black Yes http://www.xenophobe.de/atari/Scans/basketball_p_front.jpg Defender 1986 Omitted Small White No blue background http://www.xenophobe.de/atari/Scans/defend...ecial_front.jpg Missile Command 1991 Omitted Small Black No Lwrcase Main Lbl. and End Lbl. http://www.xenophobe.de/atari/Scans/missil...and_p_front.jpg Outlaw 1985 Correct Absent No http://www.xenophobe.de/atari/Scans/outlaw_p_front.jpg
13. A bit out off my league since I don't exactly know how to classify this one (Pirate/Pet Boat maybe?) I put it in as an "Unknown" for now without any rarity value. This I leave for the real experts Thanks for the input! Geert 873534 I think Pirate/Pet Boat might be a good choice, it's definitly an Activision game inside (at least Activision apears on screen). Concerning rarity, I have seen a few pet boat carts during the last months on ebay, but always different ones with this label, so I think it's not very common.
14. Perhaps because you're the first to come up with any? If it is PAL then just send me a label scan and I'll upload it for you... Geert 863798 I have no scan of Cosmic Swarm yet, but will do it in the next days or so. But you may add one for general re-treat/westward ho if you like to: http://www.xenophobe.de/atari/general_retr...estward_ho.html As far as I can see there is no entry for any pet boat label yet (or is there?), so you could also add that one. I have Enduro only: http://www.xenophobe.de/atari/enduro_pet_boat.html but there are much more of those around.
15. You can add me to General Retreat / Westward Ho. Card is loose.
16. Why dont you have Cosmic Swarm (Angriff der Termiten) in your list of CommaVid games?
