  1. I've collected much more than I had BITD but the only item I ever got rid of was my broken 800XL. It broke the day after my Amiga arrived with a red screen and I always thought that was suspicious. I always regret getting rid of it as I know now they are fixable and it had a wonderful keyboard. Oh well. My final BITD setup was my orginal 600XL with 1064 expansion (it resumed service after the 800XL death) with two 1050s and a 1010. I loved having two drives when playing Alternate Reality: The Dungeon and the Wizard's Crown games or using Synassembler.

  3. Items in my computer collection. Most of the photos were originally taken for Instagram but those here are from the originals so unfiltered.

Just tested this SC1435 monitor I got untested for next to nothing. Turns out it works perfectly now that I have a monitor cable for my 1040STE and a power cord for it. I bought a 4MB upgrade for the Atari but if turned out to already have 4MB installed.

Love Dark Forces. Played it on PC at the time but now have it on Mac as well and was using it to test out this iMac.

Not owning an Atari VCS/2600 at the time I had to make do with my Acetronic MPU-1000 so I didn't get an official Breakout or Super Breakout - I got Super Knockout.

The Harmony cartridge is great and I use it mostly, but sometimes you can't beat opening up the box with the instructions and artwork to go full-retro.

I've not played this yet but plan on working my way through the Wizardry series one day. This one has the reputation of being horrendously difficult to the point of being unfair.

Dropzone on the Atari has to be the best Defender-ish title on an 8-bit machine.

I lost so many hours to Alternate Reality - The Dungeon and many late nights. One of the few games I play through again every so often.

Moonstone for the Commodore Amiga. I loved this game but at the time only had a buggy pirated copy. Now I have a real copy!
