Making that generic little notepad drawn web page was one of the smartest things I've done in a while. Heres why:
Im the only one in my group of friends that is in to old video games. In fact they mostly think I am a freak because my basement is filled with old nes, atari, sms carts, and old 80s toys and just otherwise like an 80s museum. So anyways as I started getting into my atari 2600 I knew there was one thing I was missing. The true fun of the two player gaming experience on the atari. The two player space invaders, the maze chase, the combat, just in general, having another friend to play atari with. At first I tried to talk my friends into the occasional game of combat or outlaw, luring them with promises of a nostalgic field trip. They were amused but still wanted to go play my dreamcast or N64 instead. But now that I have that binder of high scores, and they are posted on the net for my friends to check into from work and home. It has added a new level of depth to my atari. My friends come over now begging for another chance to start the 300 club in bowling, or taunting me because I cant get close to their dodge em scores, or swearing I had to be cheating on missile command to score that high. Ahhhh Proof dreams come true...
