What's better, the 2600 or Intellivision, and why?

Intellivision had annoying ads claiming it was better than Atari which it wasn't so obviously Atari is better, But also look at that joypad (?) which is hardwired and although I've never tried one, I hate it already...Except for my Intellivision Flashback which I will try someday, cuz it looks like fun so... Atari...

That's right. Atari's removable controllers are a key point in making the machine very utilitarian. Many controllers have been developed over the decades. Not so much for Intellivision. And the Atari's ports are also I/O ports for things like SaveKey and Vox.
And Atari has support of a 70MHz ARM CPU nowadays and for the last 10 years.
It's also easily repaired, and that's important because these consoles will soon be 50 years old!
And did I mention there's an awesome emulator and debugger available?
