  1. I wonder if it’s just a problem with these Intellivision consoles on LG TVs, but with what you’ve stated it seems that way.
  2. I noticed the controllers buttons are not really that responsive. The only buttons that seem to work well are some of the number buttons. It has some really good graphics and the sound is pretty good as well. I have to say compared to Atari 2600 the intellivision 2 is really quite good on the graphics side of things and sound is slightly better. It would be an even better console with the ability to use a Sega Genesis controller.
  3. So are some games only Intellivision 1 compatible ? Which version of the console is better to have? 1 or 2?
  4. No lol I bought this power adapter for 1.25 at a thrift store, guess I got really lucky. I’ll try and trade the cartridge for something else. So for 26.25 I have a working Intellivision 2.
  5. Dang lol guess it’s a paper weight, I’ll have to figure out if I can find a closer power supply to the original.
  6. Testing on another tv worked! Thanks it works really well. Do you know if this ac adapter is appropriate for long term use? I don’t want to damage the console. Also can you tell me if this game should work with my Intellivision 2?
  7. I found a this power supply pictured and it works. Now I just have another issue, the console displays in black and white and has some lines. Any ideas as to why this would be?
  8. I just was sceptical of the viability of this option for the console since it’s the only time I have seen a laptop power supply suggested. I can’t find anyone else who suggests using one. I wonder why more people don’t use this option.
  9. I found an article detailing the use of a Laptop power adapter. https://retrogamestart.com/answers/how-find-cheap-brand-name-intellivision-2-power-supply I wonder if this a viable option, they state in the article that the console is only going to get the AMPs it requires. So if the power supply has the ability to give 3.5 amps the console will only draw the needed 1 AMP. A lot of computer power supplies use 16v and positive centre polarity. They also have the right size connectors 2.5mm x 5.5mm. Let me know your thoughts.
  10. I’ve heard the Intellivision 2 is a challenge to find the correct adapter so hopefully I can get something like this to work. I thought 25 CAD was a steal but Maby not so much.
  11. I’m hoping it is lol, it does power on so that’s a good sign right lol
  12. Maby I’ll buy a cheap nes one and find a tip for the adapter to try this console with, but I want to get one that’s 16 Atleast for long term use. Just gotta make sure the console actually works.
  13. Damn this is going to be a hard power supply to find. I’m going to have to make one I suppose somehow. I got this console for 25 CAD so I’m happy to take the risk.
  14. You scared me lol ,But I’m missing like 700 MA on this power supply. So maby this is why it doesn’t work. Also is using a normal Atari 7800 cord and coax adapter a good way to hook this console up to my TV set?
  15. Isn’t an Atari 5200 dc? Those power adapters can be used for this console I thought. Can anyone confirm
  16. I’ve read that too, that’s why I thought this one would work because it looks like it could power a 5200 but Maby it couldn’t.
  17. I thought that may be the issue, it’s just hard to trouble shoot with only one console and one power supply. I’m just not sure why I get what appears to be partial picture. I thought maby it was the way I hooked it up to the tv.
  18. Can the Power supply I have pictured work with my Intellivision 2 console? When I power the console on with the biggest sleeved adapter all I get is snow and lines. When I wiggle the adapter the console shuts off. I set the adapter to 12v and positive polarity. I also cleaned the games I was using. The consoles is hooked up to the television with a Atari 7800 cable going into a coax adapter on my tv.
  19. Does anyone have an Atari 2600 toggle switch for a woodie they can part with? Thanks much
  20. Does anyone know what size and thread the screws are that hold the case of the Atari 2600 JR together? As pictured.
