  1. One of the main reasons I got an Atari 7800 was for Rikki & Vikki, all together playing Rikki on the 7800, plus the controller and the 7800 itself, it came to $230ish. Worth it
  2. After the lockdown stuff is through, thrift stores are going to be PACKED full of garbage (treasure)

Get ready to see people posting their super sweet finds on Facebook

  3. I own a model 1 Fairchild VES and need to replace the power supply very soon, it's making very loud humming noises when I have it plugged in for too long and don't want to start a house fire. I was going to find a power supply with the same voltages and what ever and chop off the original power supply (reminder that everything was hardwired on the original system) then if I can figure it out put the new internals in the old power supply box because it looks cool and I would feel bad throwing it away. Any reason why I shouldn't? And or does anyone know of any quirks I should be aware of? (I've barely done any type of repair work on my systems, so I'm new to this.)
  4. Eehehehhehh oookaayyyyy, tennis and hockey can only be enjoyed by the same 2 people for so many times until you lust for MORE! Even though Hockey is the best version of "Hockey" ever made lol
  5. Sounds great, I just got a Channel F and I'm excited to get some games to play on it, you can only play pong so many times lol, I'll be waiting. Also I'll get to paying you on Monday when I get my paycheck. Thank you for being super cool!
  6. (I'm just going to lazily quote my status update) The power supply on my Fairchild Channel F is buzzing and I can feel it vibrating, I think it's time for me to figure out how to replace it, I was thinking of chopping it off and getting a new power supply that uses the same amps and volts that the Channel F uses, but I'm super new to repairing things, anyone see any problem with me doing that? (just an FYI, my Channel F isn't in the greatest cosmetic condition so it's not that big of a deal if I mod it in my eyes because no matter what, it's never going to be museum worthy haha) if I can I am going to keep the box the power supply was in because it looks super neat, but if I can't then I'll just have it sitting around until I can figure out how to scoop out the internals with out hurting myself.

Head over to the "the official Channel F" thread and make a post about this.  I am sure someone can help you out.

  11. I would love to get a Fairchild Channel F, I've herd that it has one of the best versions of pong ever made built it, but I work at McDonald's and
make $190 a paycheck, and the only confirmed fully working one on ebay is $219 (which I did save my money a little bit and do have enough) but I'm wondering if I should wait for a better deal, or not spend my money and save because of this whole pandemic thing going on. You guys are smart, help?

some people just really like checkers I guess, they have a Fairchild Channel F always on the ready to play checkers and nothing else

  12. Strangest thing just happened, I plugged in the 7800 to my Lcd TV and it's fine on that tv, here's my Timex Sinclair 1000 on the same tv using the same cable
  13. I've actually tested another thing with RF and it worked fine, if you saw it in motion it doesn't look like the V sync is out of wack, it looks too digital for it to be that, but who knows. I've talked to CrossBow about this and he thinks it's the chip that communicates with the RF modulator, but who knows lol. Also, didn't know about the composite thing, that makes sense because of how allot of the same quirks exist with RF.
  14. Sadly my 7800 is acting up but I think my RF signal looks better then most composite signals imo
  15. super mario brothers but you start with 5 coins and every time you jump you also loose a coin

Tetris. This was before I got addicted to it, back when I was, like, 8.

  17. I really like this sound demo using the tia chip, but it's technically not a game, but still impressive!
  18. Woah, that is really cool looking, bad ground connection is my guess? I'm not that knowledged on stuff like that but I've seen videos of signal interference with that for the reasoning
  19. I couldn't fit my whole banner in the space AtariAge gave me, so here's the whole thing if anyone was interested for some reason
