My left controller port is stuck going right. I opened the console and it seemed obvious that the resistor on that pin was deformed. It failed the continuity test so I replaced it. However I still have the problem. So was that burned resistor a symptom of something worse, like in a chip? What should I check next?

My left port is stuck with the joystick going right. Would that problem be similar to this thread about the fire button being stuck?
