1 hour ago, woobman said:Is it just me or did the back of the Amico change? The USBc port seems to now be able to move data now. I recall that Tommy said it was power only for a long time. There were two USB3 ports as well. The delay may have at least brought us more capable expansion. No arguments here!
The USB-C port could always move data, but the dual USB-A port was charge only. We got rid of the charge-only ports for a couple of reasons:
1. We thought having the USB-A ports being charge only would be confusing, and in keeping with our SAFE goalposts (Simple, in this case), we try to remove as much confusion from the user experience as possible.
2. With the cost savings from removing the dual USB port, we could upgrade to 32GB of storage... a much more useful feature, we think!

The controller USB-C port is for charging only. No data connectivity.

Imagine if Pete got permanently banned from ever purchasing or owning an Amico. This would be his response.
That's the truth!

30 minutes ago, Intellivision Master said:How about a music type game on Amico, where you play as either Tommy or Steve Tyler? You can use the Amico controller as a mini guitar, lol. But seriously, there could be a certain color on the controller and console that lights up. Depending on the color, you would then press a button on the controller in order to match what's on screen. Kind of like with Guitar Hero.
Just wait until we get the Guitar expansion!
Oh, wait... I wasn't supposed to mention that...

I had both a 500 and 1000. Loved that system. The games were unreal for it's time and you could do a ton of fun stuff with it as well. First system with stereo output and everything ran well on it.
Sadly I eventually bagged it for a new 486DX that ran my favorite game at the time Red Baron. Plus being in college, everything was about PC software. Amiga boxed itself out by being a high end graphics/game PC. It offered nothing for computer classes. Everything was Lotus 123 and Word back then.
Dude, I loved Red Baron!!

Aww, shoot! I need to add Italy to the testing list! 😂
(I'm kidding!)

The IOS update was approved and scheduled for update at 10:00 Pacific today. The problem is that it took some time to propagate through all of the Apple servers. Should be fully updated and live now.

Hi Everybody,
@Tommy Tallaricowill be coming on at 10:00 as scheduled to talk for a bit, but the main event is rescheduled for tomorrow. I'm not speaking officially, just as a "knowledgeable citizen".
In the meantime, people should make sure their Amico club apps are up to date... (Sorry ios users, you have to wait until 10:00 for your update, but Android is out now.)

That was Mike Kosko, one of the other electrical engineers. I think he just wanted to show his admiration of me. 🤣

No, leap years are years that are divisible by 4, except for years that are exactly divisible by 100, but these centurial years are leap years if they are exactly divisible by 400.

33 minutes ago, Pathfinder said:Can anyone advise me if the Amico Club app is on the huawei mobile services app store on the HUAWEI AppGallery and if not will it be likely to be put on in the future, as I am thinking of buying a Huawei phone and the phone does not use the google app store (I am new to using mobile smart phones so I do not fully know the pros and cons) It is android operating system. I have also just found information you can download the amazon app store on the phone as an alternative way of getting some common apps.
More than likely not at this time. Huawei is either banned, or in the process of being banned, from importing hardware into the U.S. Because of that, it does not make sense for Intellivision to apply limited resources to supporting an app store with limited reach. From a quick check of news articles, it looks like the U.K. government is thinking about banning Huawei as well, so you might reconsider getting that brand of phone.

After the various Kickstarters I've done and 550+ Video Games Live post show meet & greets with anywhere from 500 - 1,000 people... I can easily do around 750 - 1,000 in one hour.
Especially when he's a bunch of helpers lined up... half a dozen or so people to unbox them, pass him the console to sign, then another half a dozen to box them up and put all the extra goodies with them. It would be a lot more, but we've got to be properly distanced from each other. 😂

Wouldn't It Be Something(tm) if the extra controllers came with a short USB charging cable?! (In other words, don't buy extra cables just yet, unless you want long ones.)
