Yes, shadow mask is often overlooked yet it is that offset RGB pixel effect that is arguably more important than just scanlines. Hopefully these can be added if there's enough processing headroom - thanks Ben for chiming in on this.

It's sad that the much more simplistic Mr. Run and Jump got a cart release rather than this stellar title - hopefully this works itself out as I for one would consider purchasing a "standard edition" (aka reasonably priced) cart/manual/box.

Me too, for $149 as they originally promised. Now, it's priced way too high for the majority of the casual retro gaming crowd (who bought the NES Classic type of products). BUT, even if the console never makes it to market, I'm sure the finished games will find their way to become sellable product somehow (PC, browser or smartphone).
