  1. why wouldnt you want 13 copies of Mario/DuckHunt? :)

i decided it was too expensive to actually collect really rare games, so im setting out to see how many copies of the most common game i can get (well most common next to combat). plus it is my favorite game of all-time by far.

i remember wanting it as a kid, but not having the money, so i think it's kind of cool that i can have 50 copies if I want to.

i'm also contemplating doing some cool artwork with them or something.

sure it's weird, but i'm kinda weird so it's cool 8)

  2. Howdy, while I was scavenging my local consignment shops for anything Atari (or just something geeky in general) I came across my second Atari item in wild, my first being a copy of othello (yes my local consignment shops stink). anyways i saw an atari console that i didnt know anything about, the sears video arcade II, just sitting in a box along with an atari 1010. i was ecstatic to have found something in my stupid shops in my town so i bought both of them for $2 a piece. so i brought them home and hooked up the sears and it actually worked (i wasnt sure it would because all the screws were missing and the top cover can come off easily). but the video is a little messed up like there is a faint line they slowly moves up the screen distorting the colors slightly along the way. i can make the colors look better by adjusting some knob on the main board and on some games it looks perfect and others it doesn't. does anyone know what could be causing this? im not sure if it is because i dont have the actual ac adaptor that came with it, and i couldnt find a whole lot of info about this system on the internet. and if anyone just has some general info about this system i would appreciate it as i dont know much about this thing besides the fact that it was the american atari 2800. thanks.

  3. I am finally getting around to building up a new collection of Atari 2600 games after giving away my whole collection many many years ago (I was like 6 and my mom would only let me one system, so I chose the NES). Anyways I already bought a system and I tried scavenging my local thrift shops for games but that has only turned up one copy of "Othello". I don't want to have to buy my games individually off of eBay, I just want to be able to buy just a bunch at once and the "lots" I've seen on eBay don't have all the games I want (Adventure, Star Wars:ESB, Pitfall 1&2, Combat, etc). So I was wondering if anybody knows of any reliable web sites that sell 2600 games that also has a good selection and cheap prices? Thanks alot.
