I found this at mouser.com: mouser part number: 895-USBRS2321.8BT5.0, FTDI part number: USB-RS232-WE-1800-BT_5.0. This is available at other electronics dealers, digikey, etc. I used this to make a usb -> 4-pin DIN cable, so no adapter needed in the middle, although it is a little expensive, by the time you buy the cable and the serial to usb adapter this is about the same price. from the usb FTDI cable the connections are: yellow wire pin 4, orange wire pin 2, black wire pin 3, all others can be heat shrinked out of the way.
