  1. Ahh ok you need 8 1x64 drams and a 24 pin eprom
  2. Eprom is 5$ plus 2$ shipping cdn Post a picture of your coco motherboard
  3. Take a old rca wire (like the red white yellow ones) Cut one end and hook it to the tv . If it works find or make a adapter.
  4. Yes i can be modded for composite or vga.. Make sure all your wires are ok.. nothing loose in the rf box.. .. that your tv tunes to channel 3 or 4 ( make sure coco is one when you scan ypur channels) ..that you connected to vhf not uhf ( if older set) Try skipping the nintendo rf and use a rca wire right from the coco to tv in
  5. Sure , I can make a eprom .. usually 5$ cdn to 2$ shipping.. make sure you have the correct ,model.. right now you should have a 24 pin rom in a 28 pin socket if we are talking about thw correct machine.. do you need ram as well ?
  6. After its turned on if you carefully type MOTOR ON then press enter...you should hear a faint click.. if you do the machine is working and its a video Issue.. check the 3/4 switch.. make sure your tv is on channel 3 or 4 and does not need to rescan
  7. Your ram upgrade is easy .. only 2 chips to replace and they are not hard to find.. as for the extended basic ( a must have ) there are a few jumpers to solder.. i can provide you with a eprom if needed .. If you know someone good at soldering get their help or ..using a fine tip soldering iron do some practice then solder your jumpers
  8. I do have a bunch of rainbow on disk.. but that is also available on the archives.. I writing my first coco3 game.. a graphic adventure game ..with gambling ..dating..lots of fun ..should be ready soon..
  9. From the archive therecare options to dowload a ton if games at once,,so dont do 1 at a time
  10. Did you look deep into the archive.. public domain..basic..etc..?
  11. On the coco3 hold down f1 then press reset for alternate artifact colors. , coco1 & 2. Just keep hitting reset at the beginning of game..
  12. No the keyboard does all its connections thru the ribbon cable
  13. I would not think every trace is broken .. check with the logic probe on the connector .. alot should be flashing.. the others should give you a high.
  14. If you look the way it's wired ,,if trace from pin 4 was broken keys. P,q,r,s,t,..w. would not work. If trace from 13 was broken ,d,l,t would not work If you had a basket full of push buttons you could make your own with that diagram
  15. This is the kind of tool you need to troubleshoot Electronics while they are running... They are under 20$ for a cheap unit
  16. Yes you can buy an improved keyboard from zipster. Its called a cocomech .
  17. Here is the diagram , including the missing trace (normal) half the pins are outputs from the pua chip and should be pulsing and the others shouod stay high untill connected wirh a button press. You need a logic probe with the little flashing lights, they are cheap and easy to use to poke around these machine.. you want to see flashing lights to know something might be working. With the keyboard disconneced a small jumperwire from pin 1 to pin 16 would activate a "G" from pin 2 (Pa1) to pin 12 will get you a ""K" This will tell you if its a keyboard or chip problem.
  18. Yes come see us on coco discord.. always very active !
  19. I'm still hard at work making this game.!
  20. The mc 10 is a cheap hobby computer.. its limited in what it can do.. so people are having fun pushing those limits.. actually making games that are fun.. more memory. Sd card storage etc.. i havevsome . Havent done much with them yet...
  21. It s nice when the coco has a dust cover.. they are usually so much cleaner internally And you got the korean coco2 that has real lowercase ..
  22. I think it was a sweet score !
