Most of you may only know me from Intellivision... or from some of my soundtracks in the past.

If interested, here's a little look at my "weekend" job I do about once a month now (it used to be once a week!).

I typically play to anywhere from 2,000 - 5,000 people a night.  It's going to be a GREAT way to promote Amico all over the world as I play the trailer at the beginning of the show and at the end of the 20 minute intermission (right before Act II starts) and, I talk about it on stage towards the end of the show... about bringing people together, etc.

    Hi Tommy,

another knock out video - loving content like this. Gives us a real insight into your world and I think the first time I have ever seen an orchestra from the players perspective. Awesome - can't wait for  a U.K or European show as I missed the ones previous.

  2. Hey Tommy,

wishing you the best for your concert tomorrow in Doha, Qatar.

I have been following the news regarding the Coronavirus - there has already been such a sad loss of life and I think it is inevitable that this will only escalate. I totally understand there are more important things in life than video games, and think we should all stop and pause for thought for those who are ill and especially those who have lost loved ones.

In light of this I feel ashamed to ask, but I observe the impact the pandemic is having on China's economy and industry and was wondering if Intellivision has resilience or business continuity plans for this type of pandemic or other natural disaster on the Amico build schedule?

    Apologies if this sounds callous,

    regards

I just had an interesting thought. What if I did buy three or four consoles, and had one in every room of my house. If I pay for one game, will that game be available on all four of my consoles or do I have to buy the game 4 times? My guess is that if I register all consoles to my account then buying a game on the account should make it available, but I wasn't sure how this might work.

Yes I agree - this is an interesting question. Tommy what is your understanding of this as for me I will likely have an Amico in the living room, but like my PS4, have one upstairs too if the wife wants to watch her "Love Island!".

    Hot off the press!!   :)

Hi Tommy, sorry about that! 😂

Seriously though, this is such a great demo. I think personal videos like this (and especially the previous walk around the offices) provide a very welcome insight into your world at intellivision and I think videos like these should be a regular feature - similar to what Media Molecule have done with Dreams. Watching these just makes me want to see more and more of Intellivision and the Amico! Please provide more!!! I like the fact that you are not afraid to show "works in progress" as anyone here will now how tough the video game business is. Really top job - thank you

I just finished watching that interview on YouTube. I thought it was great! Tommy, you answered all of my questions and many more that I didn't even know I had! 😅

I never owned an Intellivision when I was a kid - I had an Atari in 1979. I remember seeing the Intellivision in stores and thinking that the graphics were awesome but I could never figure out the controller. It always look like a telephone to me. I find it a bit amusing now, that the brand new intellivision controller also looks like a modern-day phone 🤣 but I think it is a wonderful idea and I love what you going to do with Yahtzee and can't wait to see the other surprises.  I'm really looking forward to some of the re-imagined classic games and also playing some original games. Some of them I remember seeing when I was a kid but didn't get to play them. I heard mention of a dungeons & dragons game, and now my imagination is just running away with me. I am so looking forward to that. 😅👍  I do have one question

aboutthe dev kit. Now, I'm not a game developer, I'm not an artist, I'm not a musician, so I'm not going to be creating indie games for the console. However I am very interested in dabbling and I wondered will there be a way for me to write my little game just for myself and upload it to my console so that I can try it out without having to publish it? Anyways I can't wait until Monday,. I'm going to have my finger on the mouse button ready to submit my $100 order for the wood grain console hoping that I become one of the lucky 2600. 💯👍😎🕹️

can you provide a link as not sure what interview your refer to - cheers

Hey Tommy, here's an original question about the Amico, an interesting offtopic question and something I've noticed about the Roblox controversy:

    - What if you break or lose all your Amico controllers? Can you use only smartphones to play?

    - What was your involvement with Powerslave on the Saturn? I loved the demo on the Playstation and the music was really cool, but I was wondering why your name only appears on the Saturn release.

    - It's funny how all the noise you're making is starting paying off. Victor Lucas followers will know about the Amico, CES visitors... and now Roblox fans too! In one of your recent Twitter messages, the first (and for now the only) reply is from a "Roblox player", and it's a positive comment. Surely some hardcore, mentally unstable Roblox fans will harass you, but I'm starting to suspect that sometimes creating a big controversy is worth the trouble to make yourself or your company known... at least in these viral, crazy days of the Future® (2020).

    Hi Tommy,

yes this is interesting - if the controllers are RFID linked to your account and one breaks how do you access your games? I assume, that in the settings somewhere you can unlink that controller and add another.

on another note, I am super excited to read and watch anything and everything to do with the machine. Are you in talks to release a bespoke magazine?

It could work.  Dont think of it as say letsjust dumb down this version.  Insead take an 80s saturday morning cartoon approach  could be different yet awesome in other ways while still staying true to itself and humor.

And speaking of saturday morning cartoons  I hope you guys can get a ghostbusters game on the console.   Even cooler  would be a game based on  the real ghostbusters animated series.

It could be part shooter, but driving part platformer puzzle action adventure.  Easily a multi genre  game.

The amico controller can easily be the ghostbusters  pke meter.

OMG imagine if there was a version of aliens and the controller acted like a motion sensor!

Interested in getting more ideas about the potential of a Founders Edition.

What other small "perks" do you think would make it really cool?

    $50 digital game certificate

    Signed & Numbered console

Limited Edition 3D Lenticular Running Man poster signed by the entire team

Getting the console a few days before everyone else

Special drawing ONLY for Founding Members... Grand Prize is trip for 2 to California to get tour of Intellivision & help us create/design a game.

These are just a few ideas off the top of my head.

    What else!!??!??!

    Please let me know!!

    Hi Tommy,

I have to pause for thought quickly and agree with GrudgeQ - I think $199 has to be aim for the base model in retail. With that said, the founders edition is a great idea:

$50 digital game certificate - This is super value and offsets in the mind any increased cost

Signed & Numbered console - Again, great idea and good selling point

Limited Edition 3D Lenticular Running Man poster signed by the entire team - Ok, nice to have - to be honest I am not too bothered about this

Getting the console a few days before everyone else - Yes this is a selling point to me, but being in the UK will this actually materialize before its in stores?

Special drawing ONLY for Founding Members... Grand Prize is trip for 2 to California to get tour of Intellivision & help us create/design a game. - Yes, I'm in for this. How awesome. Although unlikely to win this is a huge draw for me.

    Other Ideas to consider:

Early access to the web version of the Amico Store - so I can claim my username early and browse the store.

Special drawing for Games Live Concert in region of choice with backstage pass

A special identifier on my profile (similar to xbox's number of years...) which states founder? If not possible then maybe a gold border around my profile picture or something... Just a thought...

    kind regards

    Tony
