1. CPUWIZ, Tempest, Thomas Jentzsch, Sku_u, Albert, does anyone know??
2. In no particular order: Megaman 2 Contra Super Mario Bros. 2 Super Metroid Metroid Bionic Commando Pitfall! Jumpman Jr. That's all I can think of at the moment.
3. They won't move the buckets at all? Sounds like the cord has separated somewhere along it’s line. I had that happen with some Atari paddles. One paddle worked and the other one didn't. I soldered on a replacement paddle that I knew worked and it still was dead. You might want to save just the paddles for spare parts, and throw away the cord. You'll need to find a new set of paddles, but at least this way you can mix & match until you have a good pair.
4. Well at least you were able to recover some of it. Who knows though maybe a sixth or seventh of all Atari stock was thrown out brand new at some time or other. There will be new stashes of new carts found each year, but gradually these too will diminish until almost all the stock left is what is already in collector’s hands. One day in the future there won't be any more granny's pulling out Atari carts. All the stock left will just be passed back and forth between collectors. The rest will be buried and lost forever. However I suspect there will still be homebrews coming out, and who knows perhaps the best game ever still hasn't even appeared yet.
5. I bought a boxed heavy sixer just a short time ago from a seller that only had 1 feedback: eBay auction Got it in the mail a few days later packed as best as it possibly could be. Everything was great. Just remember, we were all new to eBay at one time or another... 981898 That was a great score! I find that most of my best deals have come from people who are brand new with little feedback or cheap BIN's that I'm the first to spot. That Subterranea was tempting, but I already have one and funds are pretty stretched right now. The winner of that got a great deal also.
6. Good point Shadow. I forgot all about the Stelladaptor and I use mine all the time. I bought two of 'em to play two player games, but to this date I have only used one at a time. They are a quality product and I recommend Z26 for an emulator and X26 for a front end (thanks for the tip about using X26 Rom Hunter). Z26 is good emulator , but I could never get the command lines in Z26 to work right. With X26 it's simple. It's real easy to to switch your controls from joystick to paddles to trackball or whatever you have. There's even a quick button to swap joystick ports for games like Towering Inferno, Tac-Scan etc. Until you can get a multicart emulation is the way to go. I myself don't own a Supercharger yet so I can't speak for that.
7. As far as I know Krokodile Cart production fell off the face of the Earth. I'm on a waiting list with several other people. I dont't know if they still produce Cuttle Carts (1&2) anymore either. Your best bet is to look in the marketplace forum or ePay if you need one. I can't say which is better, because I really don't understand all the bankswitching jive myself. I'll leave it for the more handy-able to explain.
8. Chrono Trigger had a good battle system. Your characters could join together for dual and triple Techs. It was a lot of fun.
9. This game is hard. I can't even win once.
10. Damn, I forgot about this one! That was a sweet deal for the winner indeed.
11. Mother [email protected]!!! Get a shovel Cassidy we're going to the dump. Seriously though what happened? Were they in a hurry to move or did you find out to late to stop them? I'm sorry this turned out so bad, but at least you got one case.
12. I generally find every cart I get works, or will work after a little cleaning. I'm always surprised when I do get a truly dead cart. The worst of all is finding a cart with a nice label that is dead. I guess they all have their time to go whether it is from bit rot or the soldering coming loose though. @Recycled: I hope you get your new copy of Mountain King soon. It really is a good game.
13. I've always been curious if the NTSC rom for Atari BMX Airmaster is the exactly the same as the TNT BMX Airmaster release. Has anyone dumped the Atari version and compared it in Clonespy? Edited to include "NTSC".
14. For the most part I can't stand them, but I do have some for games that aren't worth it for me to hunt down and pay for an original copy. Given the choice I will always take the original release.
15. A little beat up, but still going cheap for now. For some reason I had it stuck in my head that this was a nine. I must have been thinking of the double ender. I think CPUWIZ sold one with a good label here a while back for $35. My memory is hazy though he'd have to help me out with the details.
16. That is a lot of difference Jetset! Is that your Vader though or a light sixer pictured beside the heavy sixer?
17. WHAT were you thinking? Stealing is stealing and it's wrong. Take the cart back or donate some money to Goodwill. Turn the situation around.
18. I just used Clonespy on Thrust+ and discovered it's a hack of Space Jockey! J/K great game Thomas.
19. That's like a list of my favorite games ever. I guess I like radar in my games. Add Defender and Star Raiders and I think we're just about done here. 979455 I was impressed by Defender II's graphics and gameplay. Awesome game!
20. this already mentioned or is there two different kinds? 979160 No it's just the one game. You can download Sinistar here. Temptest is the authority on prototypes. He moderates the Prototypes Forum as well as running his own website http://www.atariprotos.com/. You can learn more about Sinistar there and read the review. The entire website is packed full of information so check it out!
21. I wonder if he has a camera or not, because looking at his other auctions it seems like every picture was taken in a different part of his house. Perhaps he's lifting pictures? He has 39 (I think) games pictured not 75. I hope he's not counting each game listed on the text carts as individual games. Looks like he didn't pay for two of his auctions as well.
22. I suggest you download some and try before you buy. I own four homebrews with more on the way, and all I can say is that the quality is topnotch. Lately I've been addicted to Thrust+ Platinum Edition. I highly recommend it.
23. Wow! That's amazing Ghost! Do you think you'll be able to pull off a perfect score now?
24. You need the booster grip that came with it or a Colecovision controller. Thomas Jentzsch also made a hack to let you use the driving controller. That's here.
