I had a seller ship me a boxed Atari in just plain brown wrapping paper for "extra protection". He promptly taped the paper to the box all the way around, and took a lot more packing tape to the box openings to make sure nothing would fall out. I think he threw away the inserts to fit all the games in the box as well. Luckly most of the tape came off without too much damage. I think half the people you buy Atari stuff from on eBay don't play games, and don't consider boxes to be valuable. Some other sellers seem to be aware that they could be, or actually are damaging your product by shipping it poorly packaged, and don't really give a rat's ass. That's what pisses me off the most.

I chose Asteroids over Missile Command.

Yars' Revenge hands down for me.

I think Solaris is going to take this round, but Phoenix is cool as well.

Jr. Pac-man, although I love Indy 500 a lot as well.

Circus Atari, with Adventure a close second.

Tough question. I think you just know if you are an elite gamer/collector or not by how much time you spend with your hobby, and how far you will go to complete a collection. When they put you in rehab to get away from eBay you're halfway there.

I voted for Excitebike, because after playing Motorodeo I feel that Excitebike could be a good possibility on the 2600. It could really be stripped down, and still be a lot of fun to play. Secretly though I would kill for a Metroid game. I would love to see it pulled off, but I just can't imagine a 2600 version having a big enough world to explore. I hope someone proves me wrong. Please, please prove me wrong.

This one was a toss up for me between Track and Field, Jr. Pac-Man, and Snoopy and the Red Baron. In the end I went with Jr. Pac-Man. That game still just kicks so much ass. I think it's got better with age.

Other sellers that have auctioned NTSC Motorodeo's lately from Venezuela. What (if any) relationship do you have with these sellers?
