The oddities I speak of are the way certain smaller (10k subs and below) all suddenly are all in on the Amico. People too young to have played Intellivision or its contemporaries are suddenly giddy with excitement for a new Intellivision system. Hardcore gamers with no kids promoting the family friendly aspect. Just seems odd.
Edit: you commented on 1 such channel...
That's the channels right to delete negative or hateful/troll comments. What difference would it make anyway?
I don't understand why you are looking so hard into this. There's nothing odd about being excited about something new.

Very detailed and well thought out post RetroAdvisoryBoard. It's too bad 90% of that would be lost on him and he will just come back with some aggression towards Tommy again. That guy still demonstrates he cannot google or even use a search function.

Haha, you posted that... But technically I gave him the link to the thread on Reddit.

So you whip out the "CEO title" and hold him to standards now that don't make any sense other than to be bitter and angry about something.

Just now, Tonytgd said:It was to demonstrate that I believe my questions were not as aggressive as Tommy himself has been toward games. It was to give Tommy credit for not being soft or afraid to get into it.
Big difference with aggression towards games vs aggression towards a person.

I understand when someone says "these games have nudity" the burden of proof is on them ... But not being aware that you can google "Switch games that contain nudity" is a new one.
And people are fixing that:

Individual game vendors usually have a grid page. It’s an area of the site I haven’t changed in a long time.
Very cool!
So that is your site?

12 minutes ago, Tonytgd said:I believe you invited me here to, as you said, "get put in my place." If you feel these are aggressive questions then it is a good thing I aimed them at Tommy and not you. After all, Tommy is the guy who ripped the Men in Black game a new one on TV during his time as a co host on G4 TV's Judgment Day.
"Put in your place" was tongue-in-cheek. I was actually seriously hoping you would demonstrate some measured level of self-awareness and realize that you could start fresh here by asking Tommy a few questions about supposed censorship on Youtube.
Now you're just calling him a liar instead of asking any real questions. You are a few posts off from being the same kind of person I saw on Resetera when I first researched the Amico. You just constantly post to take digs at Tommy for some reason like he's personally attacked you.
What the heck does him "ripping the Men in Black game a new one" have to do with anything? What does him doing anything on G4TV have anything to do with anything you've been posting or asking? Where'd that come from? 🤡

1 hour ago, Tonytgd said:I am so glad you answered as you did because it allows me to go ahead and push back a little bit and ask some tough questions.
1) Both in the quoted reply and in several interviews you mention rape games, as well as games involving children being raped/molested/ect., on the Switch, do you feel it necessary to lie about the contents of Switch titles in order to promote the Amico? If you feel your claim is valid then I'd love for you to provide examples of your claims.
2) I didn't say create a brand new system, I said create "kids" versions with hardwired parental controls. These are already present in the new Call of Duty game as any profile under a certain age is restricted from going online and playing the game.
3) How exactly will the Amico parental controls, time limiting parental controls you previously talked about, be easier or more intuitive than the ones on the Big 3 consoles? Additionally why do you feel going to the "Settings" tab then the "Parental Controls" tab is too hard for parents to figure out?
4) To speak about your Wheel of Fortune gameplay experience, why are you putting the blame on the console maker, intendo, instead of the developer of the game Ubisoft?
5) Will Amico have online leader boards for their games?
Tony I kind of invited you here because I didn't think posting stuff on the Amico subreddit was very good. But you're not going to get anywhere if you keep targeting Tommy's responses like this.
These aren't "tough questions" they are just aggressive.

Along with a monthly updates channel, or weekly updates, or whatever, the Amico should have some historical pieces too. Maybe a "On this week in INTV history..." or something. Perhaps a small news icon at the bottom of the Amico's home screen?
It could include a game, the overlay, and history of the game. Along with perhaps a link to buy the re-imagined version :^)
I found this:

But it doesn't lay them all out side by side.

Overlays were absolutely beautiful though. Such cool ways to give a game more control options (especially for games like Utopia) and they gave the controller an individual personality depending on what game you were playing. I loved them on the Jaguar too.
Well... I take that back. I loved them on Alien vs Predator on the Jaguar, because you got your own unique little layout depending on what you were (human, alien, etc) which made it feel that much cooler. Jag did not utilize them well overall though.

Yeah - I think the Amico would be a great place for some kind of "party fighter" a la Smash. Some cool characters with different abilities, stages, items, etc. Something anyone could pick up and play without complex combos. Clayfighter may have had combos (and was also not very good as a game...) but Power Stone was a lot more interesting as a "party fighter." I don't think there's ever been a fighting game a family can pick up and play though.
Just steer clear of "Playstation All-Stars" ...

A lot of that proof would have been good to post in your original diatribe against Tommy.
But try to keep it more civil instead of assuming things and reading into intentions.
Ask questions instead of stating your own formulated answers.

47 minutes ago, Tonytgd said:In typical Tommy Tallarico fashion, he ignores what I said and refutes an argument I did not make. Nowhere did I mention photo realistic graphics. I simply said there are mobile games that look better than the games shown off for the Amico thus far. I even admit that graphics are not the be all end all, but they get people into the door. Candy Crush and Angry Birds, 2 huge mobile games, are literally copies of other games, Candy Swipe and Crush the Castle respectively, with better graphics that helped them to achieve huge success. These games look very colorful, unlike the games they ripped off, and these pretty graphics were what caught the eyes of casual gamers. In essence, a pretty game has a better chance to get people to try it out then an ugly one.
I would disagree. Using contextual clues, your comment implies that the games would catch people's attention if they looked better. Don't mince words. The statement you made insults the Amico games by saying they look worse than mobile games, and then goes on to say good graphics "get people into the door." Which means you're saying the graphics aren't good enough to get people in.
"they get people in the door" is just a vague way of saying the system needs better graphics. You go on to explain here something about "pretty games" like Candy Swipe and Crush the Castle, but the Amico games ARE pretty.
This is definitely one of your weakest points of defense.

That post is super dramatic and really over the top... Focuses too much on the wrong issues.
I especially don't understand who would be concerned with Chinese bootlegs at this stage of development. Just what on earth is someone supposed to do to prevent Chinese "bootlegs" of their systems anyway?

Sorry. Too Soon?
Not at all. I actually feel bad that Atari's name got taken over by people who don't care about the brand, and people who don't care about treating their customers with respect and understanding. We shouldn't call them Atari, we should call them "AINO" for "Atari in Name Only." It's sad that on the largest Atari fanbase website the main thread for the Atari VCS is about tacos.

Tommy ,
Can't remember if this has been asked... What were your thoughts on cartoony fighters... Clayfighter or maybe even a new Intellivision fighting game?
Also, Rampage/Giant Monster Destruction, and Racing games (maybe too 3D or too realistic)?
